This is the best tank in the world.

Its got so many machine guns, an inbuilt mattress and our farmers (who are also expert tankers) can assemble them all over the country.

If the Japs came (and for their sake they didnt) they would be under fire from the most intimidating machine gun spouting tanks they have ever seen. No angle is safe to approach and eliminate the mighty Bob Semple.

A true battleship of the land.

If one so wished, they could probably make an entire thread about the general inadequacy of Italian armor.

One must sometimes credit the Italian tanker, however, for not faltering against foes basically invulnerable to their weapons and easily able to outrange them to boot.

Don't forget the outdated airframe, attempted (and failed) use in combat, and continued production until the armistice. People knew it was garbage in 1940, but production kept up for years, with units being sent for scrap and salvage as soon as they'd rolled off.

I suspect the Ba88, and Italians in general, aren't bigger memes because people in general don't think about the Italians very much. They were okay but not great, one could say?

Very good, Doktor Porsche, let's see what you have.

Okay. Why?
>Because it's advanced!
But it's unreliable, overworked, and prone to catching fire

We'll be going with Henschel's design for this tank.

You're going to add more weight to an already stressed system?

I suspect they are closet anarchists, considering they change governments like the rest of us change clothes.
>>
>>30126368

To be fair Hitler pushed Porsche to design the Tiger even though he had no experience designing anything even vaguely like a tank before, let a lone a heavy tank that pushed the bounds of the technology available at the time. Then the whole war thing that was going on cut into the R&D period a bit. All in all it was an ambitious design not too terribly executed, but way too rushed. That was pretty much all of Germany's tank designs after the Panzer 4 though.
>>
>>30119915
>crap, this tank is far to reliable and easy to maintain o ever be effective!
>Don't even get me staryed on the effective suspension or the adequacy of the gun, oh my god!

>>

>>30122297
someone seem to equate a tank having battle losses to it being an unsuccessful design.

That would make little willy one of the best in the world with 0 losses an no damage sustained.
>>
>>30126446
Its angry krauts and werhaboo /pol/tards still salty that Germany got its shit pushed in by supposedly inferior designs.
>>
>>30126527
It's old. It's a massivegaz-guzzler leaving both it and its tankers vulnerable a lot. it has poor availability. It has proven surprisingly vulnerable to mines and RPGs. More than half ever built are now unserviceable. It only ends up the winning side because with the enemies we fight we couldn't possibly lose. It's not actually terrible but it's really no world-beater.

>The Jagdtiger suffered from a variety of mechanical and technical problems due to its immense weight and under-powered engine. The vehicle had frequent breakdowns; ultimately more Jagdtigers were lost to mechanical problems or lack of fuel than to enemy action.

>The 10 Jagdtigers of 2nd Company, Panzerjagerabteilung 512 destroyed one American tank for one Jagdtiger lost to combat, one lost to friendly fire, and eight others lost to breakdown or destroyed by their crews to prevent capture.
>>

Would have been godsend in Africa with its tall height it would be able to see long distances. In Normandy it would have cut down hedgerows with its many machine guns. In Russia they have so many farmers and sheds they could have made these in their millions saving the front lines early in the conflict. When assaulting Berlin these tanks would have blended in seemingly with the rubble. In the battle of Britain with so many machine guns it could have torn up bomber formations when used in mass.

Honestly the most under appreciated vehicle in history.
