Okay, I don't know much about guns but I want to get them into them. I just bought a Ruger AR556 as my first gun online.
Is there anything else I should buy? Any go-to stuff I should get or know? I have $280 left budgeted for other stuff.

I also picked up the R556 because poor as fuck, but from what I hear and what I've seen, it's pretty solid, 8/10 for someone breaking into firearms (Though, I've noticed LaRue/LWRC/Knights fags aren't willing to let there $3k rifles get dirty)

How do you like it so far man?
What are some things you changed on it? Any pics?

I'll try get some pics in a few, it's pretty good, the finish wears easily but then again why give a fuck when it's a start? Let me get you that pic.

get yourself a couple boxes of 55gr 5.56, preferably Federal, some nice electronic ear protection, a couple mags (check out pmags by magpul, hexmags, or just standard GI mags) and learn your rifle inside and out. take it apart as much as you possibly can. learn how it works. clean it.

This plus a sling. If it came with a cheap nylon then use that for the time being and invest in a light and way to mount it instead. Every good fighting rifle needs a sling and light.
I own the tiger sr556 which is the piston one it handles great the only thing is it's heavy as hell. But invest in range time with iron sights, get optics once you're comfortable with iron sights

Since I'm a poor ass mofo, I stuck with standard MFT and Magpul...
MFT: Larger charging latch, grip and foregrip
Magpul: mags, CRT stock and carbine handguard
Can't remember which manf. the sling is from.
Red dot is the TruGlo Trutec (Cheap but it sure as fuck does the job.
