You all realize that she's a CIA attache, and an intelligence officer. She's a cutie and her role is primarily intel, using cameras and such. She's like Anya from Gears of War. My main issue is that women in these roles never really seem very sweet or personable or have any personality with there male counter parts. Dare from ODST was a good example of an intelligence attache that allowed her femininity to actually come out in her character.

You're right, there is no nuance or attention to the character of their past or what lead them to be there or be in that role. It's bad writing coupled with self-righteousness that lead to this current predicament. Female action girls are so much more believable and enjoyable in anime and Japanese media because they actually don't say, she's a girl and she can do it too. They show why the character is the person that they are and why they're the kind of person that can fulfill the duties of that unit, and why of all the women who don't belong in 1,000ft of an SF unit they do.

i worked with a good female who ignored the bullshit and hated the drama. she knew she was physically weaker than us but made up for it in having an eye for detail and being a beast at admin work. she came from alaska and was part inuit so she could stink it out like us in the field when it came down to it. The only reason she got out of the muhreens was that it was so physically destructive to her body and she struggled to maintain weight standards. Keeping up with even the slowest/weakest of us males was retardedly taxing on her
