I want to get a pocket .380 for running and when I want to go beltless. I'm waffling between the LCP and the CW380, help me pick a mouse gun /k/.
>>
>>30070404
Even doubles: LCP
Odd doubles: CW380
Trips: PPK or P-64
>>
>>30070435
I think the LCP would be good
>>
>>30070435
>Trips: PPK or P-64
No, never.

>>30070442
Go on?
>>
>>30070435
Rolling
>>
>>30070492
Cheap, reliable and tiny.

Pretty much all you want.
>>
>>30070508
It really isn't what I want though, I'm not a fan of those tiny Walthers.
>>
>>30070404
Honest question:

Would you trust your life to .380 and the cheapest pocket rocket?

Could it double as a range pistol since you need to get good with a gun to use it?
>>
>>30070548
Yes. .380 will get the job done, and I don't cheap out on ammo. I'm not looking to get the cheapest gun.

Keep in mind I'm normally sporting a G19 but there's times when it's not on (going for a run, times when I don't have a belt)--and a little mouse gun is much better than nothing.

I like shooting all my guns so yes, it can be a range pistol.
>>
>>30070575
Why not just get a .380 glock if you normally carry a G19?
>>
>>30070591
Too big for the pocket. A Glock 42 is the size of some single stack 9mms.
>>
>>30070404
Don't buy an LCP. They're just dumb guns. no slide lock after last round, trigger sucks etc.

the S&W bodyguard and the Taurus TCP are WAY better.
>>
>>30070603
I've heard bad things about the reliability of the Bodyguard though at least it finally has a no-safety version.

Taurus though... I dunno man...
>>
>>30070404

If you go LCP get the LCP Custom, its trigger isn't shit and its sights are usable.
>>
>>30070529
That's what you should get then.

You don't need /k/ to validate you buddy. You're important and cool enough to get whatever you feel good with and totally rock it

Be sure to post a pic of it when you pick it up buddy
>>
>>30070638
That doesn't make sense but okay buddy.

Sure thing buddy. Thanks for saying that

Will do buddy

buddy
>>
>>30070660
I'm not your buddy, friend.
>>
>>30070575

Get a P238 - You won't be disappointed I promise. It's slightly bigger than the CW380 but i think it's acceptable given it's a single action pocket pistol
>>
>>30070661
oh Jesus someone posted.

/k/'s been dead for at least the last 3 and a half hours and it was beginning to creep me out.
>>
>>30070671
4chan was down m8
>>
>>30070660
That was kinda rude. You don't have to make fun of me.

That kinda hurt my feelings
>>
>>30070404
S&w bodyguard 380. Has a slide stop, and nicely integrated laser if you want that model. Plus you don't have to worry about getting your dick shot off from your pocket because safety.
>>
>>30070575
I got a fanny pack for running. You can't pocket carry while running, it's too heavy and swings back and forth. You absolutely have to have it in a closed pocket and retention holster if you do, but trust me you're going to give up on it after day 1. The fanny pack keeps it on my waist where it won't bounce, plus I can keep water, phone, keys in there. All of which are a pain in the ass to have in pockets while running, idk why you think a heavier item would be any easier.

I like the idea of a pocket gun, for when I'm just going to get the mail or answer the door and don't want to have to take the time to strap up, or when I'm dressed formally. I think every carrier should strongly consider one for all those gaps when you would otherwise decide not to carry. Also cargo shorts for the gym and keep it in the pocket (unless you're going to hit the treadmill it's comfy). Too many people I've talked to have a huge carry gap when they go to the gym. Just refrain from shooting Chad when he steals your rack.

>>30070824
Thanks, this was useful advice.
>>
>>30070404

JUST
>>
>>30070782
It has a butt for a trigger though.
>>
Soooo ppk
>>
>>30071585
Fucks up your knees, brah.

>mfw I was sidelined from running for the better part of a year for shin splints so bad that I could barely march, after the utter dumbasses in charge of PT for my training unit decided we should do formation runs on concrete, in boots

For a great .380, look into a Beretta 70s. Damn fine gun.

So much this. Getting my permit soon and I'm trying to find gym shorts that have a ridig waistline so I can throw my holster on it.

I'm sorry to hear that, brother.
>>
>>30073416
Eh, it is what it is. I've been working on my running form and am going to try to re-join in a few months.
>>

Those are super heavy.
>>
>>30070404
Sig p238
>>
>>30073451
Stretching helps a lot, as does running on softer surfaces in good shoes.

>>30070404
Bersa Thunder .380
>>
>>30074520
Just save up a few hundred and get a PPK.
>>
>>30075112
The Bersa Thunder+ holds 15+1 in a similarly sized package
>>
>>30073589
this, got one and it is fucking great
>>
>>30074520
No. Avoid Bersa Thunders like the fucking plague. If I had five dollars for every time some dipshit customer came in because his Bersa stopped working, I'd be ready for retirement.
>>
>>30075303
Belay that; I make a lot more than five bucks for fixing Bersas. Regardless, theyre in the top five.
>>
hey OP do yourself a big favor and look into the Keltec P-32

It is a .32 ACP round, but in my honest opinion the fmj rounds have better overall penetration properties over .380 ACP and the P-32 is a true pocket pistol, also doesnt hurt that standard mag capavity is 7+1

get a clip for the gun and you could literally conceal carry in the waistband in a damn speedo if you wanted.
>>
>>30077318
>Keltec
>Keltec .32 acp thats literally the same size as an lcp or p38t

I know its difficult to separate your ego from your purchases but please understand when the advice you give is garbage.

Ummm 32 is effective, im a different poster but i also own a p32. There great, remember a 32 acp pistol essentially ended ww2.
>>
Get a bryco jennings model 48. Never failed and it has a timeless reputation or durability and reliableness
>>
>>30078013
The worlds biggest cuck turning his gun on himself BECAUSE he lost (while biting down on a cyanide capsule, might I add), doesn't exactly speak for it's combat merits. Whether or not he was alive wouldn't have changed the fact that Nazi Germany was closed for business.

Does it work? Yeah, I guess it does, but it's a very meek caliber.
A XTP load of .380ACP greatly outperforms anything you can load .32ACP with.

I like .32ACP, but there's good reasons it doesn't see much use anymore.
If you had suggested something like the Beretta 81, then you'd at least have capacity (12+1) and no recoil to speak of, while being easy to conceal.

Also, something like a Ruger LCR or S&W snubbie is already rather tiny while offering passable firepower (with arguably similar felt recoil).

A pocket pistol is just a series of compromises and you need to pick the thing you can tolerate the most. Running with a pistol and no belt/harness is going to be difficult but you can try small-of-back carry because that shouldn't affect your gait. The shape of a revolver might work better for you if you haven't considered one yet.
