That's relative, broski. Im currently in Utah, and i love it here. The air quality near salt lake city is pretty bad, but just don't live in SLC and you'll be fine.
Plenty of room, since it's a western state. Plenty of guns. Land is cheap. And the most gorgeous fucking mountains.
If you like or don't mind the snow, Utah is the place for you.
