>>30066344
Are you able to get ammo for the .41? I've got a nickel plated one and have never shot it.
I started a thread just like this last night. Glad to see people like the idea.
>>30066477
The middle Ruger is a .44-40 I have plenty of brass and reload. I actually like to shoot BP in those old cartridges.
>>30066508
These: >>30066365
Are .38-40 and .32-20. I have brassfor them too. They have conversion cylinder in 10mm and .32Mag

Don't have all them in the pic, missing a Sig, S&W 5609, shitty Raven arms and my S&W model 13.
Only have pics these and of the 13 on my phone.
>>30066876

A beretta m9
>>30067279
I say try and get some in nickel maybe, add a bit of a collectors challenge.
A few recommendations:
S&W model 586.
S&W model 19 snubnose.
Colt Lawman, bonus if Snubnose model.
Colt Trooper.
Maybe a Redhawk or some Ruger wouldn't hurt.
>>30067283
Man, I've been looking for one of these for a while.
>>30067318

>>30067347

And the holster and mag carrier are scarred sharkskin. Didn't want a faggot shark holding my piece.
>>30067340
>>30067331
as much as I like the 586 and 19, it'd be hard to justify buying them when I've already got the 13 and 27. same with a Trooper vs the Python or a Lawman vs the 13, 36, and Python.
I've shot Rugers and they're not bad, but I don't see myself buying one.
a Korth, Janz, Webley Mk VII, Unica 6, MTR-8, 2006M, and Triple Lock are all way out of my price range.
ruskie wheelguns like the MP412, OTs38, and MTs255 aren't available at all.
maybe I'll get a 51 navy
>>30067597
>maybe I'll get a 51 navy
I'd Recommend it.
Picked up this sexy beast at the local gun shop today and jesus christ... It shoots like a dream.
The best way to describe it? "A warm knife cutting through butter."
Also the glow in the dark sights on these things make Trijicon and Truglo night sights look like a joke. Seriously. Just shined the Surefire on them for a 1 second each and they become BRIGHT enough to the point where you feel like they're battery powered, for such a long time too.

Pretty good. It's heavy, so recoil is really tame and it groups well if I do my part. I came in second at a local range tourney with it. The guy who won was using a 10" S&W 29, so I didn't feel too bad about it.
It was a little pricey though, at ~$575.

>>30072821
>>30072718
Thanks fampai. I want to add some kind of nice .22 target pistol and a small caliber pocket pistol (.380 or below) to round out the collection a bit more.
>>30072798
I mean it doesn't recoil softly, but it's not uncomfortable at all. My .357 gp100 hits my palm harder, but has less rise and snap than the G29.
I'd say it has a nice balance between 'backwards' recoil and muzzle rise. I have medium sized hands and I can magdump one handed and put all 10 rounds into center mass on a silhouette target at like 10 yards or less.
It's not oppressive, but it's not exactly a G19 or G23 either.

Most of them, missing; Jericho 941, S&W 642, Springfield Armory 1911, Russian and East German Makarovs, Gen 2 Glock 17 and 19.
>>30074152
sure thing clown town, how about Victor the Cleaners gun from Luc Besson's LA Femme Nikita? Walther Gsp-c in .32 S&W long wadcutter, can blocks out the irons so I flip mounted a laser that just clears.
>>30074239
That pistol looks really cool. Is that a supressor or is it for length compliance? (assuming you're not in US).

>>30074191
A few questions, how does that Ruger compare too a S&W revolver.
Should I get a Makarov?
How is the Jericho 941, was thinking between that and a 92fs. Also nice DS, just got one myself.

Hey /k/! Long time lurker, first time poster. Baby is about to get his first hand gun, I see a few makarov's posted here. Any have any experience in dealing with a Bulgarian one, or a Polish p64? I'm looking to get one or the other, just not sure which way to go. Thanks!
Looking to get one simply because I have a large cache of 9x18. Over 2,000 rounds, inherited.

>USP .45 with can
You know that subsonic 9mm through a can is actually quieter than .45, right? +4 points because you probably don't know that.
>USP 9mm
Classy. +10 points for owning the gold standard in handgun reliability in the correct caliber.
>Rusty Ruger (Blackhawk?)
Actually looks kind of nice. Not sure if that's a factory finish, but it works. Only +6 because it's still a revolver.
>W. German P226 with the bluing stripped off the slide and the carbon steel polished to a mirror sheen
Somebody took the rusty sigs meme too seriously. -5 points because that thing will rust as soon as it gets a little bit of moisture on it.
>unmolested P228 in prime condition
Pretty nice. Only +9 points because you resisted the urge to bubba it, but probably still plan to fuck with it in some way.
>S&W (686?)
Nice. +5 points because still a revolver.
>S&W M&P .45
Dumb caliber to get a polymer pistol in. +1 because still a pretty good gun.
>Sig Mosquito
-10 points.
Overall, 19/100. A decent start, but you really need to up your handgun game.
>>30076949
The trigger *is* as bad as they say, and the sights are weird, but kinda cool, too.
Nobody seems to want them. I got this one in Feb for under $500 in factory box with 2 mags.
It doesn't even shoot that bad, once you learn to deal with the trigger.
It was marketed as a law enforcement gun. Stiff trigger, giant mag capacity(for the time), durable, simple to operate, and simple to maintain. It could definitely fill a role as a cop gun.
Any other element of practicality though... not so much.
I bought it because I've wanted one ever since I saw "Aliens" - took forever for fate to drop one in my lap.

>>30076890
I'll give you a pee pee touch for that red 9.
In all seriousness, how much did that run you?
>>30077131
Fuh-ree.
My buddy had it, got it from a relative I think who died, and let it get wet and rusty (the outside, anyhow) - I basically CPS'd it and did some refurbishment to clean it up, and now it's mine, and he's never asked for it back. Bore is nice, and the rust cleaned up okay. It certainly has a "worn" exterior patina, but functions and shoots(when I actually shoot it) as well as you'd expect for something like that.
I imagine its collectible value is diminished because of all that, but I'm never gonna sell it, come on.
>>30077202
not gonna lie, pretty fucking jelly anon, even in bad conditions red 9 are hard to come by, and they are always in the upper 2000s

>>30077246
It's a rechambered M.1930 which fetches a lower price than a Prussian Contract 'Red 9'.
>>30077246
The events of that story happened about 15 years ago.
Interestingly enough, he got his shit together and now has a mighty collection of his own, some 75 or so guns. I'm still not giving it back, even if he asks. I've bonded with it.
I did some research on it once, and it seems like it was imported to the US in the 20s by an "Oyster Bay Company" - but that's about all I know.
You can see some of the pits and crags and generally not-grand stuff about the finish in this pic.
>>30077388
Correct. It was rechambered here in the states.
It is not a Prussian contract.
You know where a nigga could get a stock for it? I never seem to have good luck on Gunbroker or Gunauction .com. Someone's gotta have (or even make) such things... right?
My one and only firearm. Well, one and only official firearm. I've made a couple of .22lr rifles, one a takedown and the other a folder, both scoped and suppressed. But this pistol I love. So smooth in operation. So slim. So quiet.
>>30066407
Meet your Bulgy's brother
>>30077534
Oyster Bay was a 1980's importer. They primarily brought them in from China, refinished and rechambered them here. Production of the Model 1930 ran from 1930-37 and yours is a late production example.

how do you like 45-70 compared to 460 from a handgun?
how's the trigger, grip, and overall handling of the BFR compared to the X frames?
>>30079140
no compromise
>>30079153
The BFR is an easy shooting gun. Much smoother than you'd imagine a giant revolver to be. Trigger has just a touch of creep but is very light. The grip is comfortable but kind of large as you can see. It has quite a bit of recoil but its a slow roll and pretty manageable. Dead accurate right out of the box using Hornady 325gr Leverevolution.
>>30079250
