I'm looking to scope my m48. I want to go with something that still allows the use of iron sights. I was thinking of either getting a svd rail the mounts to the side and use a POSP/PSO/LPS TIP2 scope or get a lsr mount from accumounts that would allow me to use any scope. What does /k/ say?

Scoping a surplus rifle is not bubba'ing, and no one said a thing about sniper rifles.
I remember a guy using a repro long-rail mount on his M48, with a vintage GECO telescope. Combined with a properly turned-down bolt handle and extended safety it looked pretty good.

I live in Croatia and scope mounts like that are very common on older hunting rifles.The m48s have been turned into hunting rifles since the mid 50s here and a lot of them saw use in the 90s.

If you're going to fuck with it, give it a Zrak 4x32 scope. They actually used M48s in this configuration during the Yugoslav Wars, it would be more authentic than just bubba'ing it to accept a PSO-1 or some shit.

Its a posp scope, they have 7.62x39 versions just like x54. I just have to remember to aim slightly left of what I'm shooting at because of the scopes offset. And can still use irons
