Does anyone here actually train when shooting? I have a feeling most people on /k/ rarely shoot and when they do, it's just at dirt or whatever.
Nobody seems to discuss drills and when they do, it's the mozambique meme. So do you guys just sit around shitposting about weapons, politics and terminally still in the buying guns phase?
>inb4 "i'm a cullectur"
This question pertains more to the people geared towards conceal carry and have upgraded rifles like an ak or ar15.

I zeroed my AR last week. I was shooting 5 MOA at 100 yards by the end of the day.
No, i shoot at paper trgets with my glock 19 at 7 or 15 yards. I live innasuburbs and my range doesnt allow me to shoot quickly or draw and shoot or any realistic drills.
I do run alot and do push ups etc... i have a bad back which makes actual weight lifting very painful for the following week or so. Im in pretty decent shape for an autist but id love to have a place to go where i could get the experience of "training" in different positions.
Id really enjoy shooting from behind cover, while moving, crouching, etc...
My AR15 does exist almost purely to show in gear threads and in i/fak/ threads.

I feel you. My range doesn't let me rapid fire, draw from holsters or move around, it's very restrictive but I'm trying to work around it.

only poorfags can't afford to shoot and still buy guns that interest you.
I go out and train with my gear innadesert. I work on reloading drills, transitioning from my primary to sidearm, shooting behind cover, shooting when kneeling, shooting while prone. All while wearing at least a tac belt, usually with a belt and chest rig. I've taken a carbine class in the past and practice the skills I learned as often as I can. Usually once a month. I prefer going innadesert because I can actually practice this shit as opposed to going to the range where I can't wear gear or draw my pistol from my holster.
I'm similar to >>30040926
I just try to practice me accuracy at the range just in case I need to use my CCW.

That's because NC is objectively the best faction

I wouldn't own a gun I couldn't shoot and shoot well.
These are some of my targets. Now, I'm working on learning rapid fire. Lastly learning about safe backdrops, barrier penetration and working the angles are just as important.
Show is your targets please?
protip I shoot my LCP 2x a month, shoot a few rounds of sporting clays at my club most weekends and get myself some run and gun drills going every time I shoot in the woods, which is about once every 6 weeks or so.
When I am home, I practice reloads and dryfire drills
Kill yourself faggot
I have a membership at an outdoor gun club so since its private it's almost never crowded, even on the weekends so there are no RO's and no one in my way. This means I usually have an entire pistol range to myself which allows me to set up multiple targets so I can practice drawing from a holster, drawing from concealment, transitioning between targets, and shooting on the move.
Gun clubs for the win, public ranges are shit.

I'm only recently hasguns, but when I do go to the lgr I try and simulate for situations I feel like I could find myself in. Short to medium range distances, 8 to 25 feet - it's indoor only and I just own a handgun so trying to shoot much farther wouldn't be very feasible.
Sometimes I'll purposefully only put a round or two in one mag, then a random amount in a second to try and get myself into the habit of being able to reload quicker while under pressure. I try judge how good I did based on the shot groupings compared to my normal groupings. I'm not enough of an autist to set a timer for myself yet.
I don't know if any of that is useful or not, but unless I can simulate running from cover, and shooting in the prone and shit, at a big fancy private outdoor range, I don't imagine that doing much outside concentrating on the basic marksmanship skills would truly be worth the effort. That is, I like doing those things because it makes me feel better, not because I think it'd actually be particularly helpful in a real world situation.

>implying targets matter without associating them with times
anyone can shoot a nice group slow fire. Being able to place shots accurately at speed is what matters.
>>30047385
Reread the post. It at least implies they're slowly aimed.
Bottom is my best semi rapid results so far. They're 21' and it's the skill I'm most focused on trying to learn atm.
>>30047385
Post your targets please.
>>30047530
Okay, a slowfire 3" group at 7 yards is nothing to brag about man. There are people who can punch the same size group out at 25 yards.
>>30040893
>5 moa
nigger you suck
>>30047541
You're talking max spread which is fine if that's your measure. Those are full magazine groups and I'm quite proud of them, took me a long time to get there.
So there are people that can do better? Obviously, frankly I'm just some dumbass who enjoys going to the range.
These are at 25 yards, was getting a quick sight in for the ar at the closest range which is a 25 yard max range.
I mean according to you if a person can't shoot ad well as Miculek they should be ashamed of themselves. I am not ashamed. This is for fun.
>>30047541
Post your targets please.
>>30047751
Different target at 25 yards. The above resting my grip, this was standing.
I don't train. I'm not actually serious about being tacticool
I did go out hiking in the mountains last weekend and ripped some rabbits with my AR tho.
That's literally all I've got
>>30040873
It is a luxury to have a place to shoot where you can rapid fire and do dynamic training.
I live in the city. It is shitty indoor ranges that allow nothing. It is a 1-hour drive to the nearest outdoor range and they don't allow any dynamic training either, because there would be too many autists shooting themselves in the leg and shit. Don't know anyone with land in the country, either. Any public land is going to be a 2+ hour drive.
So, OP, tell me … how am I supposed to to live-fire drills and such.
>>30047076
>going to a club is antisocial
>staying home on my own land is not antisocial
Do you realize how retarded you sound?
You can train without firing a live round...
and they still don't.
>>30040873
I run mozambique drills once a week along with some other drills I saw on YT (don't really have a name for them it's just me running between points trying to hit various targets within set times.) Usually shoot my handguns once a week and rifles once a week on a separate day. Only run handgun drills
