>railz
Only on top of the receiver.
>BUIS
Honestly, no. Having them is a good idea but a good optic these days will not fail on you.
>penis grip
No.
>light
Only on a HD gun.
>BAD meme
Offers zero advantage in actual practice, only useful for locking the bolt open when you're fucking around. Don't clutter your trigger area.

You don't know shit, OP.

Crucial for holding my beer
>>
>>30039854
You're pretty much wrong about everything
>>
>>30039813
Why a foregrip? Does it really make your shots more accurate like in COD? Is it a comfort thing for some people? I feel completely comfortable shooting without one why should I add extra weight?
>>
>>30039813
None of those things are crucial. Yes they offer certain benefits but the most crucial element of owning a rifle for battle is being proficient in its use. If you /need/ an optic, foregrip, flashlight, fancy rails, etc to be effective with your rifle you probably have no business owning a rifle.
>>
>>30039854
Only thing I put a fore grip on is my CZ scorpion, since the bottom of the handguard has a fixed rail that's uncomfortable, that and it keeps people's hands away from the barrel. But ya, for most guns its unnecessary but I don't knock someone for having it

>>30039876
If you're comfortable shooting without one, don't add one.

I don't find it very comfortable. What feels best to me is using a vertical foregrip, but to push against, instead of gripping it. Angled foregrip wasn't comfortable either.

>>30039976
it looks like a sweet suppressor imo

Yeah I agree, I like to push my hand against the foregrip too.

>Are these crucial to building a rifle for battle?
Well based on a career as an infantryman...

>Rail system
no, unless you are using NVGs. ONLY THEN are rails crucial.
>Back-up sights
no, see next
>Optic (close or long range)
no, irons are ideal for close/long range accuracy. Except at low light night, so see flashlight
>Foregrip
no, foregrips are meant to provide an enhanced measure of control in close range shooting. they are absolutely NOT crucial.
>Flashlight
yes, because not having one in a house will get you killed
>Bad Lever (if AR)
no, BAD levers are meant to provide a faster clearing of type 3 malfunctions. they are absolutely NOT crucial.

The only things I'd consider as being crucial, ie. critical to the use of a rifle, are
>Sling
>All the parts which the rifle came with
>An accessible method of carrying spare ammo on your person
>Weapon light

the rest is just enhancement
>>
>>30040058
I like enhancements.

Also
>optics
>not important

This isn't 1943 gramps
>>
>>30040074
>important
the word "crucial" has a different meaning than "important." I made sure to look them up before I made the post

fwiw I agree with you, but I also think that rails and other accessories are very important. but def. not critical for the operation of a rifle, sonny :/

I forgot to add cleaning kit, since i'm being pedantic

It was from some show but I don't remember... I believe it's just a standard magpul mid length forend too.
>>30040006
And why the fuck would one ever do this? I could see an sbr with a suppressor being hidden under a longer rail, but just running it like that? Same people probably like getting burned by revolvers too.
>>
>>30040093
I've read about your level of autism in medical books but I never thought I'd witness it in person.

>>
>>30040058

You're one inexperienced infantryman if you think iron sights are more advantageous than an optic and believe the early 2000s trend that foregrips make a rifle any more easy to control and subsequently more accurate or precise at any and all distances.

Back up irons are one hundred percent crucial. If your optic becomes condensated, wet in a torrential down pour, gets broken, or shot like my team mates did, you need a way to be able to still accurately hit targets in the same gunfight.

>optic
> iron
> light
> laser
> sling

All fundamental to effective and efficient application of kinetic energy upon people trying to do the same.

>sling

Unless you enjoy only using one hand for other tasks

>light

Because blindly shooting into the dark where you think the threat is won't be terribly effective

>some kind of light up optic

Not as important as the light but will allow you to be more precise

>flash hider

Because if you're fighting in the dark as the light suggests, some level of concealment would be nice. Not required

That's it. Anything else is mall ninja garbage. If you can affix the light and optic without rails then more power to you.

Foregrip is purely personal preference but I definately prefer them.

Optics also arent meccesary people rely on them too heavily but theyre amazing if youre already a decent shooter.

You should see how people here unironically think airsoft buis are perfectly acceptable substitutes for real versions. Yes, this place is indeed fucked yet I don't know why I come here everyday.
>>
>>30041027
I've seen those sad poortards trying to justify not spending less than $50 more on some BUIS from somewhere reputable like Magpul. It's sad as shit the kind of mental gymnastics you'll see.
>>
>>30039813

>>Optic

>tfw I have 20/10 vision and am far sighted
>tfw I can see distant targets better with my own eyes than people with optics
>tfw I'm so far sighted that I'm wearing reading glasses right now so I don't strain my eyes after looking at my computer screen for more than 30 min

at- at least I don't need to spend money on an optic, r-right..?
>>
>>30041055
>It's sad as shit the kind of mental gymnastics you'll see.

I know. /k/ has its retards here and there but I genuinely feel bad for the people who are such cheapskates to do this.
>>
>>30039813
Irons>Sling>Light>Optics
>>
>>30041071
I think it has more to do with the AR becoming a viable cheap alternative after the bubble burst postSandy. You get a shitload of ignorant poorshits actually able to get one, and they start skimping whenever and wherever they can and have to start rationalizing their decisions. Otherwise it means acknowledging they have some shitty Walmart tier AR that doesn't belong anywhere outside of a shooting range.
>>
>>30041014

For those of you saying yes to weapon lights, please recommend a noob a few good light you can mount on a glock rail and a few you can mount to rifles with something like a thorn tail mount and such. Thanks in advance.
>>
>>30041271
Also I'd like lights that have on/ off and momentary on options. Budget preferably $175 or lower if possible.
