I'll agree with you on the wet and wind part. Rain is the best. In summer it's nice and cooling, and in winter it's rare enough to be appreciated.
The only thing I'd miss about the cold though is it not feeling like Halloween on Halloween. Freezing and wet while the leaves are falling in vibrant colors, going out with your friends and secretly hoping for something spooky to happen. Best season by far.
