I was using a L85A1 and a USP, both are dust in the wind now. looking at something like a FNC or a AK5C and a 93R. but I'm also finding it hard to to find people that I can actually play with or a good range that isn't a paintball field. looking for more of a milsim environment, nothing like that for about a hour or two away.

Check out the ultra-custom stuff on some of the Asian retailer sites. Since Hong Kong/Japan/Taiwan/etc basically have no civilian gun ownership, they go hardcore with their airsoft stuff (even shoot IPSC with it, I think).
Eg. the pictured Airsoft Surgeon Golden Hammer custom race gun? All steel and CNC aluminum parts, costs $2800 or so. AKA within spitting distance of an actual Wilson Combat/Nighthawk/SVI Infinity pistol.
