I wear Redwings for work, they're okay. Spend the rest of my life wearing flip flops and sneakers. I have some Vasque hiking boots for hiking, naturally.

The most comfortable combat boot I have worn is Oakley (Made in the USA) Assault boots. They are light weight and like wearing sneakers. I ripped through 2 pairs in 10 months in Iraq as a grunt. They are great boots but not super durable. Don't buy the made in china ones they suck and fall apart even faster. I also like the New Balance OTB another light weight sneaker style combat boot.
