It's the range's. Targets, gun rent and such is free. You just pay for the ammo you use.
Very tight, for handguns, you need lots of paperwork, deep background checks and no criminal record whatsoever. Also forget about conceal carry.
For rifles, you need several years of smoothbore firearm experience in a hunting party, the approval of said party, extra paperwork, tax, background checks, and a good waiting list.
Shotguns are easier to get.
All this, and guns costing several times more than western shops.
Recently saw some Ruger 10/22s for ~$700. CZ75 SP-01 Shadow for $1860. 1911s for about the same. Bulgarian Makarov for $170 and up, glock 19 for >$800.
The AKM I used usually goes for ~$460.
Not to mention bullets are more than twice the price as well.

If the gun pulls right, you can use the sling to offset it.
Put your left forearm through the sling, wrap around a few times and tighten to grip.
