I need pictures! Pictures of jet fighters! Real, in development, futuristic, retrofuture, variable, aerospace, sf, all are welcome! Smell the kerosene and ignite afterburners!

Could a plane with an airframe like this fly IRL?
>>
>>30019598
With enough thrust, yes.
>>
>>30019598
Well they tested Berkut thoroughly but it proved unstable, although his frame provided many maneuverability advantages due to his forward swept wings. There should be more of them in the future as we develop more advanced materials that can handle material stress better.
>>
>>30019598
With time it'll be more and more viable
>>
Anyone knows about some aerospace jet fighters that were or are in development? How they compare to space planes?
>>
>>30019651
>>30019732
I was referring to the split forward section, not the forward swept wings. I have a feeling they would have to withstand tremendous stress while maneuvering, especially in the first pic.

sure, although the front two pronged thing is fucking retarded aerodynamically and would never actually be designed

I have a question about F-16. I heard someone argued that F-15 is much better choice because F-16 has crappy software (or something which I can't remember).

So, does anyone have any idea what's the problem with F-16 that made Japan angry at US?

A few things, yeah. I was wondering if there are any jet fighters currently in development that woild possess ability to operate both in atmosphere enviornment and in near space (like Lockheed U-2). And I was wondering how similar they would be to space planes (like X-15). That's all.

goblin parasite fighter. the plan for these was to mount them to B52s and B36s, then drop them out of the belly to defend the bombers.
never got out of the experimental phase.
