If I ran a gun rental shop, I wouldn't let some yayhoo shoot whatever rando ammo he had laying around through it. Especially not a commonly reloaded caliber like 30-30.
Come to think of it, you probably shouldn't shoot it yourself. Those look like handloads. Did they do it right?. The smartest thing to do would be to buy a pound of the right powder, pull the projectiles (with the proper tool), weigh them and put your own powder in. Primers probably aren't magnums but I'd load it on the weak side to be safe.
