Aim, CDI Sales and Buds have all had quite a number of surplus pre-B CZ 75's in stock for the past week or so, mainly good to very good condition, late 80s to early 90s production, with some transitional models mixed in.
Has anybody else who ordered one gotten theirs yet?
I just picked mine up from the FFL a little earlier today. It's 1989 production, with polished blued finish. The single action trigger is more crisp than the 75B's I've owned, although I was surprised to learn that these early guns have a magazine brake built into the magwell. Fortunately, that's a simple part swap to get the mag to drop free, which I intend to do. Overall, pretty happy with the condition for the $400 I paid.
Are these Israeli surplus?

I forgot to ask, but I'd imagine they are. Why does it matter? It was still made by CZ. My gun was taken care of pretty well, and doesn't look like the usual sandbox surplus guns which tend to look like they were stored in damn burlap.

CDI Sales. I'd never buy a grab-bag gun again, honestly, unless I planned on refinishing it. Much better when you can see pictures of what you are bidding on. That said, the CZ's that AIM had recently were *supposedly* pretty good condition.

I bought a hi power from aim when they had a better condition shipment a couple years ago.
The finish is warn on it, but not too bad, i just changed out the springs and gave it a good cleaning since it was filthy. Shoots just fine with everything from cheap steel case up to Federal HST.
Recently bought a couple Interarms surplus guns from bugsfunshop. Both were advertised as being in "good" condition.

Can't say; they came on the mags. They will interchange with the baseplate of the pistol's factory mag.

OK, that's a start. I can get these mags in the $40-range per mag, which isn't great, but it's do-able.
Have you tried any SP-01 magazines in your gun? Supposedly some SP-01 18 round mags are compatible in some pre-B pistols.

I really hate how small the goddamn slide serrations are but I love the rest of these guns.
