The "Aug is shit" is just a fucking fantasy by noguns who hear the trigger isn't great. Surprise! It's not a fucking match grade gun out of the box, like 99% of ARs, the Aug was created to be a battle rugged bullpup rifle, and it meets that goal better than any other bullpup. The Aug has trigger upgrades, not Guiseley but better than most AKs, FAL, sub 2000$ ARs, etc.

Tavor or AUG?
I've fucked around with a buddies Tavor, it was okay, not the apex combat rifle they market it as but it was fun and pretty reliable. Haven't touched an AUG yet but I expect it would be a similar experience, just without the clitty mag release (which oddly I expected to be a huge problem but never seemed to have issues with.)
Bullpups are kind of a meme anyway, if you're not running an AR you're not really serious about guns.

Well my 5.56s include a Noveske ar, a safe Queen favor, and a Steyr Aug with both 20 and 16 inch barrel and the 9mm kit. Out of the three I use the AUG in competition, because it's just as accurate as the Noveske out to 500 yards, and it's simply easier to manage for multiple targets. The optics that you grt from Pete at pjsteyr are incredible, and I have an RMR mounted on top of the 3x. There are many more 5.56 options you can "run" in drills but the most popular is the ar, but I have seen far more problems with the AR than the AUG, and I have torture tested all my guns, the AR and the AUG are equally reliable but I would say the AUG takes it because of the ease of takedown and how easy it is to clear a squib. Making blanket statements like "if you aren't an AR fag ur nuthin" is just silly. Our military uses it because we have bought it, it's politics, cash flow, and performance, in that order, that get the US military contracts and of you don't understand that then YOU aren't serious about guns

The ak isn't a sub-moa gun and nothing can make it one.
That being said, 90% of default shooters can't reach sub moa (I include myself here)
Aks are not used in competition, unless it's three gun, where accuracy past 200 yards isn't as important as quickly being able to shoot multiple targets.

Well I don't see alot of RK-62s in competition target shooting, or any 7.62x39 for that matter.
I've seen 5.45, 5.56, 308, 54r, and I've seen x39 but they are shit at a distance because the bullet is just too heavy for the amount of propellant in the case of a x39.
Does the finish army or whatever use that gun too?

Range compensation for a x39? Idk about that, I'll need to look it up. 7.62x39 reaching sub moa at anything more than 400 yards seems too good to be true. The barrel needs to be floated and the ak action doesn't allow for that , and the ballistics of the x39 are "big and dumb"
