Noguns here, and since I now have the money, I would like recommendations for a decent pump action 12 gauge for under $650. I don't care if its fudd, but I'd like it if:

>easy to maintain
Anyone care to help? I don't care much about getting a cheap AR or a nugget so thats out of the question.

Just get a Mossberg 500 with wood furniture. You'll probably have to order one, because I can't remember the last time I saw a <20" barrel with wood.

Despite OP not wanting remington, the 870 is still a good choice. I shot a friend's 870 when we were shooting mallards and I quite like it.
590a1 and order some wood, or a field grade 500.
And seriously don't count out looking at old 870 police magnums either.

It seems to me you are just afraid of not conforming to /k/ memes. Get a Wingmaster or 870 Police with wood from a pawn shop. If you insist on something that isn't a Remington then get a Winchester 1300 or a Mossberg 590 to install aftermarket wood onto.
