Does anyone else here feel sort of..... naked without a gun? When I have to leave my pistol somewhere, I don't feel helpless or defenseless, I just feel like a piece of me is missing. Like I left the house without shoes on, or something. Anyone else feel like this?

yeah, especially went I got out of Iraq. I sometimes carried 2 at once and had another in the glove box. Maybe it was just the stress of changing back into normal life, but id really hate to go through all of that just to get killed by some street thug back home.

I feel naked without any clothes
became into guns one year ago and started carrying at the same time I've been actively avoided going anywhere out of state or a state without recip. I have a weeding to attent in philly in fall and live in WA state so I dunno how i'm gonna deal with it. Especially when time comes to visit my european family in europe. Americans should have the same rights anywhere they go no matter what. For all that we've done for the western world, even the shithole ones we've helped, we should be allowed out constitutional rights everywhere. I'd love to carry in England while the subjects living there don't.

I only take it off when having it on would be a felony, though. I even wear it or have it nearby when at home.
Of course, I got very against the idea of being unarmed after being stationed in a place I couldn't possess guns, and having a stranger show up at my door with a gun in their hand. Still not sure why they left, but let me tell you that was a shitty as fuck experience waiting for them to enter and not being able to bail or have a better weapon than a can of room freshener.

I work at a school so I can't carry, but had to lock up all my guns because my nephew was home during that time and it felt super weird even though I've never had to use a firearm defensively.

Nothing wrong with carrying one of those. Just have a holster. If you're nervous, you can ease into it by carrying it with an unloaded chamber. But don't forget to switch to carrying it with one in the chamber at some point.

Happened in a quiet little no-crime town in Italy. Much earlier in life while innawoods, having a gun saved my life. I hope you don't have to have that kind of experience, they suck and I don't have any happy bonuses from them, just stress if I'm unarmed. But they do happen. Better to feel silly and go to your grave without having to fire a shot in anger than to go to your grave much earlier because you had no shots to fire.
