Hey any Colorado fags here know a store that sells 30rd magazine "kits".

My local store doesn't have any 30rd mags period and I've been to two other stores but they only had the ones with the plug in them.

fuck off retard
>>
>>29994473
nobody's done the rebuild kit thing in CO and gotten a case through the courts yet. Most folks just go to the nearest neighboring state and get 'em there. Wyoming should be good; 4th of July is coming up, so just grab mags on your firework run.
>>
>>29994473
Hello ATF, how many dogs have you shot today?
>>

>Remove plug
>Profit

I bought an AR with a mag included, the guy just disassembled it before he handed it over.

A drill bit(i dont remember the size)
30 round mag

So, they sell 30 round magazines in Colorado, but the mags have a plug in them? What's to stop you from removing the plug, like >>29994529 suggested?
>>
>>29994564
voids the warranty
>>
>>29994573
That's it? Is the spring at least the correct length?

Its a state law not federal the ATF doesn't give two wanks of dead hobo's dick what mags you buy.

>>29994560
Yeah I know but a magazine with a hole in it is less desirable than one with no hole in it. Not to mention a mag with a missing plug is rather obviously modified whereas an intact mag you can just claim you've had it for years.

Thanks though

>>29994564
See above

>>29994504
This is probably what I'll end up doing if I can find any locally.
>>

You do realize you can legally buy hi cap mags out of state?
>>
>>29994473
Tons of fucking stores still sell them. I go between 10-11 e very so often looking for surp, and only 3 of them don't sell regular mags

Where do you live you lazy faggot

Boulder.

Maybe I'm just unlucky what area do you live in?

>>29995447
Legal by the laws of the other state sure but not by Colorado law.
>>
>>29997064
>Boulder
Hey me too.
The closest place I found is in Fort Collins.
>>
>>29994473
A magazine is a "kit'.

This should trigger /k/ worse than calling it a clip. Fucking A.
>>

There's your first issue. Second is I haven't lived there in years so I'm not sure about the northern side of CO

Just scope around every shop you pass, window shopping is free. Don't be bashful in asking if they sell regular mags, purchasing isn't illegal only selling.

I live in Parker. There's a couple shops around that don't think twice about it, but I ended up literally buying 200 mags for in store pickup at the Cabelas in Nebraska since I do work in Cheyenne every so often so the drive didn't necessarily bother me.

I scalp them to guys I see with more UTG than shrubmaster or that hold their gripods like a middle school boyfriend and get decent ammo money from it.
>>
>>29997361
You know damn well why he's referring to it as a kit.

Of all the people you could pretend to be on the internet why would you choose an autistic teenager?
>>
>>29997452
I'm still morning drunk?

Way OP put it quotations is why.
>>
Some what related. If I move from out of state to CO are my 30 rounders legal?
>>
>>29997481
First of all I'd openly defy CO 30rd laws.

Depends on where you move, genius. Most of America is free so yeah. I use the 10 30 Rd mags from when I was in, plus 1 pmag.
>>
>>29997502
I'd imagine places outside of Boulder or Denver LE is less likely to enforce that law
>>
>>29997502
Out of state to CO not from Co

Cool man thanks.

I'm thinking I will just head north towards Cheyenne this weekend and hit every gun shop I come across if they have them great if not I'll keep trucking.

>>29997481
>>29997742
I don't know about the intricacies of the law but practically speaking you will be just fine.

The law is considered unenforceable and many sheriffs departments have actually said they will not even try to enforce it.
>>
>>29997736
No one enforces it. Every sherrif in the state signed some petition or whatever saying they don't give a fuck about it. If you robbed a store or something with an illegal mag on you theyd probably tack that on, but they don't go around gun ranges doing magazine inspections.

A few months ago I ordered an AR that came with a pmag (ffls are supposed to take them out but the guy I use didn't,not sure if it was a don't ask don't tell kind of thing or not)
>>
>>29997870
The law says that if you owned them before the ban, they're legal, and the burden of proof is entirely on them to prove you didn't.

Bringing them in is a gray area but illegal in most circumstances but as it has been said the almost no realistic way you'll get caught.
