fun fact - the actor that was originally cast as as Hartman was moved to Helicopter Door Gunner #1 after Ermey, who was supposed to be a consultant, didn't feel like he (the other actor) wasn't doing a good enough job, so he rounded up a bunch of extras and taped himself yelling at them for 15 minutes straight without skipping a bit.
