Fite me

Yes I have a hardon for Kel-Tec
>>
>>29986484
probably better than the SA80
>>
I'm curious to hear what consensus develops about them once enough enter the market. Assuming enough enter the market.

But man, I'd like one with wood furniture.
>>
Do we know what the price point on one of these things is?
>>
>>29986583
Ian-chan and Karl-kun liked it enough to give it an hour-long review.

Failed the mud test miserably though.

MSRP is ~$1300

Not too surprising.

I guess what I meant to say was what sort of reputation they end up getting.
>>
>>29986615
apparently after the ian and karl video lel kek is making a cover for the ejection port
>>
>>29986633
Gut. Still have the problem of shit getting behind the mag release and the charging handle.
>>
>>29986615
>MSRP is ~$1300
>Tavor is roughly $2k

[want intensifies]
>>
I still want the other bullpup they make in .308
>>
>>29986657
A full pound lighter too.

And apparently it has the "best out-of-the-box" bullpup trigger ever. "Better than a stock AR trigger," so says the Karl.
>>
>>29986484

>dat M43

I heard they discontinued the wood one, is it still up for grabs?

I'd buy that shit in a heartbeat at $1300.
>>
>>29986679
OP's pic is from 2014, so who knows.

I'm just on the first 5 minutes of this- is tire flipping and running around with kettlebells common in 2 gun competitions?
>>
>>29986679
No idea, but apparently they made the M43 in 6.5 Grendel too.
>>
>>29986702
I watched the one Ian did in full WW1 getup where he had to drag a kettlebell to him, take a shot every so often, and then run it up all the way back from where it started and shoot again.

"Carrying ammo" was the name.
>>
>>29986702

maybe they're trying to make shooting look like an actual exercise.
>>
>>29986716
Huh, I've only ever heard of 3 gun. Knowing that it has an athletic component to it makes me way more interested in competing.
>>
>>29986725
I assume it's like biathlon or whatever, where you get your heart rate going and try to keep your aim steady.
>>
>>29986745
Usually referred to as an "action" shoot. There's more examples on their channel.
>>
>>29986484
Find an RDB.
>>29986608
Unicorn farts.
>>
>>29986758

They haven't been released for sale yet AFAIK
>>
>>29986657
Only one is actually being made though. You can set MSRP to whatever you want for an imaginary product.
>>29986679
>Implying anything at Kel-Tec isn't discontinued from the start
>>
>>29986771
No shit they haven't. Are you new to Kel-Tec or something? A handful are going to be made, given to reviewers, and that's it. The owner just makes guns he thinks are cool and then uses the business to pay for it.

If you could stop meme'ing for one second you'd realize that plenty of people right here on /k/ have P3-ATs, PF9s, SU-16s, KSGs, Sub-2ks, PMR-30s, etc.

It's just their bullpups (the RFB and RDB) that are notoriously hard to buy.

Holy Christ is that really what they go for? No wonder they're not in stock, probably sold out of entire production run within seconds
>>
>>29986814

The only label that can be found on Kel-tecs.
>>29986820

MAYBE 2 own something that isn't their bottom of the barrel handguns.
>>
>>29986830
Easy to do when your 'production run' is 1 gun a decade.
>>
>>29986839
I have a Gen 1 Sub2k.
>>
>>29986839

Okay dude. The LGS right down the street from me has like four KSGs, an SU-16, and a couple Sub-2k's in a variety of caliber/magazine options right fucking now.

It's painfully obvious that all you know about guns is parroting /k/ memes
>>
>>29986855
And mine has a plasma rifle.
>>29986848
Now we need one more person and that'll make the 2 I talked about. Congrats, you proved me correct.
>>
>>29986866
There's another Sub2k for sale in the same pawn shop I bought mine at.
>>
>>29986881
And there's the George Washington bridge in my pawn shop.

The lgs near me has RFBs in stock. But yeah, looks hard to get an RDB right now.
>>
>>29986484
I'd buy one and get a custom .300 Blackout barrel if the fucking things were out on the market.
>>
>>29986702
>I'm just on the first 5 minutes of this- is tire flipping and running around with kettlebells common in 2 gun competitions?
In their 2 Gun setup, yes. In others that AREN'T derived from theirs, I dunno.
>>
>>29986848
I also own gen1 sub2k in 40 it was a gift. My father owns the plr16. Saw a 2nd Gen sub2k in 40 for 380 at lgs. >>29986866
>>
While kel-tec has some QC issues I heard they're getting a lot better. And I don't shit on them because they about the only company willing to take risk on new and novel gun designs like the rdb

IWI relys soley on the "IDF uses it tho" it's probobly worth 1000$ but it sells for way more.
>>
Also the traditional one might be the only thing that will ever sooth my irrational gorza boner
>>
>>29988197
Easy to "take a risk" on something you never actually have to produce.
>>
>>29988292
R&D costs boatloads of money.
>>
>>29986572
you leave Eru alone!
>>
I wonder why the hell KelTec decided to go with 6.5 Grendel over .300 Blackout for the first caliber variant. .300 Blackout isn't the greatest round on the planet, but it would've only required one part change, instead of the entirely different barrel and lower receiver that the 6.5 Grendel RDBs have.
>>
>>29990346
.300BLK only requiring a barrel swap is probably why they went with developing receivers and bolts for the 6.5 version early.

If it picks up someone's going to offer it. The barrel isn't at all hard to change out.
>>
>>29990346
>>29990390
To add, the only part of the RDB that is actually the "gun" is the sheetmetal bit on the back. The magwell and grip section can be changed out without making it an entirely new "gun."
>>
>>29986484
some men have a hard on for being cucked

you just like being cucked out of your money
>>
>>29986814
STOP GOING TO WEBSITES I LIKE AND BUYING GUNS I LIKE ANON JESUS.

Same website is now 1,200 for an RDB when in stock.
>>

holy fuck if this ends up being a sub 1k gun im going to black out from orgasming
>>
>>29986484
Personally on anything kel tec I wait a) at least a decade or b) for the 2nd generation to come out.
>>
>>29990986

>>

>>
>>29991323
Thats because nobody wants them except for people who havent fired one. Back when facebook still allowed gun BST groups, there were 4 or 5 KSGs that were continually passed around like bad fruitcake.
>>
>>29992868
90% of the sites listing them are sub $1k.

But clearly the X95 shoots as well as a 6920 I mean the groups are only 1.5 inches larger. So in a wrap the groups are 1 inch larger larger than a 6920. Now I am 6'3" and have large hands. Buy my X95 it is the same accuracy of a 6920.
>>
>>29992991
Aren't bullpups super hard to use with standard bipods and sand bag setups?

>>29993060
Uhhh well the pic is Tim from MAC but if your implying that ergos are causing the accuracy issues it is safe to say that is incorrect. I would agree that it is not as easy due to tiny forend and mag placement.
>>
>>29993226
I'm just curious to see if the X95 is actually more accurate if you hold it normally instead of with a bipod/rest. Supposedly the Israelis use a version of the gun we're getting as a DMR, so unless we're getting super shitty barrels and/or IWI fucked up something while tweaking the design for ATF compliance, I don't think the IDF would settle for a DMR with the kind of accuracy problems we're seeing.
