Well I can't play in realism mode given I currently don't own any firearms but I'll keep it as real as I can by saying my melee would be the 449 AF Survival Knife; pic related.
As far as firearms go I'm looking at a revolver as my side arm. My income isn't great at this period in my life so I'd have to set aside $300.00 for that and ( sadly but thankfully ) pick up a Taurus 85FS Ultralight ( 9mm ) or ( if I go with a pistol ) a Hi-Point Home Security Pack in .30 ACP and pick up an extra mag.
The remaining funds would go for an Eagle-15 MFT and three extra mags which, I've been told, is nice for the price. If I buy the Hi-Point instead of the revolver I'd have enough money left over to get an Echo Trigger ( not ideal for suppression but I COULD legally own it ) and buy enough ammo for the two Hi-Point mags and four Eagle-15 MFT mags.
The trick would be using it all before getting shot and respawning.

Thanks; but thankfully that won't be the case forever.
