Glock 19 is by far your best choice for a starter handgun, period. Great for CC, over a dozen 9mm rounds vs other subs which only sport 6 or less, 3 great safety features to help prevent nd. I could go on all day.

I've had it jam twice with hundreds of rounds through it, and both were because of a shitty promag I was using that consistently jam it. It has never jammed on its factory magazine. I've heard that they suffer from a sort of Friday in Detroit syndrome, so it may be possible you get a dud.

My 22 round drum from Promag for my Thunder I've been pretty happy with. Except that if I load 22 rounds into it, the pistol jams. Tend to only load 15 and that keeps everything working. Also, it doesn't always lock the slide back on the last shot.
