A different ruger favorite than all those guys up there. I fired one a couple weeks ago. I was kind of rushed and only put two magazines through it, but I thought it shot fine. Nothing amazing, but I didn't have any of the finger/hand bite or whatever problems MAC had with it. It felt too similar to the SR series for me to actually go buy one. truthfully the 870 is a good gun, but after handling the new ones it feels like gritty garbage. Still smoother than a mossberg(i do like some of its aspects features). I have three Remingtons: 760 gamemaster, 572 fieldmaster and a 870 wingmaster. the gamemaster and fieldmaster are inherited from my great grandfather and the wingmaster is from my deceased uncle. All were rode hard and put up wet but boy are they glorious to me. Wish i had camera good enough to do them justice. I think if i can my next shot gun will be a Ithaca model 37.

I actually don't have a favorite gun company. I mostly collect military surplus, and while I sometimes acquire based on arsenal or manufacturer, it's not due to any sort of branding loyalty.
The few modern guns I have I just buy based on what I feel like buying.
Now, when it comes to reloading equipment though, I am a RCBS guy, but mostly due to buying their stuff via rebate. It does help that 90% of the stuff they offer is actually good and backed by good support.
Also helps I usually buy from brownells, which has god tier support in my experience.
HK. CZ is probably a close second.

Yeah that's why I mentioned the ARs but like... I like Sigs, Berettas, 1911s, and HKs for pistols and I like franken-ARs for rifles so... companies like FN and CZ are kinda irrelevant to me. It's all personal preference obviously but... yeah.
It's not even close. They make serious competition rifles that are extremely accurate, reliable ARs that are also fun and come with a lot for the money.
