I live in CA, other than driving to a neighbor state and buying up some handgun mags and carefully driving back (Mr. ATF, This is more wrong than genocide, so no one in CA would ever do this illegal act), 10 rounds of .45 is going to trump 10 rounds of 9mm. And lets be frank, the recoil from both are really not all that crazy different, especially if you're using +p 9mm. Which most are going to be using for their SD ammo anyways.
