The decocker lever on my Sig keeps getting caught on my holster. Can I cut a notch out or will the leather fray? Other options?

I generally tweak my holsters a bit, either to fit the gun better or so I can get a grip on the gun like I like. Just use a sharp razor blade so the cut looks clean.
