How does one swim across a river carrying a rifle? I thought about tying a rope to the rifle and dragging it across after swimming to the other side, but that would probably damage the rifle as it scraped the riverbed.

>use boatgun
>float across

What's a boatgun?
>>29932183
It's like a gunboat but not really
>>29932168
You put it on your back and you swim accross the river...?
>>29932194
Then it would weigh you down and you'd drown.

>his rifle stops working if it gets wet

See this weight diagram and pick appropriately.

It's not the water that would damage it. It's the rocks and sand that would scratch the bejesus out of it.

A rifle is what, 10 pounds max ? I'm not some weakling faggot, if the stream is not too strong I will do just fine
AK-47. All of lifes problems can be solved with an AK-47.
Put gun in plastic bag and seal it.
Or
Condom over barrel.
Sling on back tight and swim across.
Or hold rifle high and side stroke
Or put rifle on chest qnd back stroke
Or hold rifle over head and walk across
When you get across. Make sure rifle is drained.

I think the weight of the rifle would make you sink and drown.
Man up /op/ and be a real operator.

Unless you're crossing with a loaded 240B, no it wont make you sink and drown. Even with a 240 and gear you can swim a river.
Like this.
>>29932390
No it fucking won't. Stop being stupid.

This is what I forgot.

>It's the rocks and sand that would scratch the bejesus out of it.
Suck it up princess, a weapon is supposed to be able to survive the odd scrape and knock.

You do realize that the USMC requires you to do swim training with:
>combat utilities on
>boots
>helmet
>flak jacket
>rifle
Almost any retard can manage it with a little bit of persistence and half decent cardio.

>implying border jägers operate in singular fireteams
>implying you can see further than a few hundred metres at most innawoods
>implying you can see past a hundred metres in that kind of forest
>implying you should get all of your gear wet when you're on a march
It's like you think they're combat divers infiltrating an enemy AO or something.
