Ok, address them. What do you want to address? It's autistic as fuck, my wife would never let me do anything like that, and it could also be a bad idea for people with kids.

But it does give you access to a gun. I mean if you're that fucking worried about getting attacked in the 10 minutes it takes you to shower, then by all means.

I think if you were a judge or prosecutor or maybe an undercover narc or gang unit cop, then go for it. Otherwise... I don't think that's probably ever happened. Like ever. The likelihood is incredibly small.

Soon as I get more money I'm going to buy a fuckton of various cheap CZ clones and quick access safes and hide them all around my house.

I usually shower when he is asleep or the wife is around. Yesterday he just decided daddy needed company. As soon as I was out he was back to bouncing around the house.

okay so back to a more /k/ related topic:
where and how can I stash a gun in this bathroom? Keep in mind though the bathroom is "mine" its in my kids room. So the criteria is:
>Hidden
>not accessible to a 2year old
>moisture is a factor
Guns available for this are:
>mossburg 500
>nagant revolver
>AR Pistol
>AR Rifle

I agree, pellet or bb is a great idea. You can teach a lot about safety, and you don't have to take them to an intimidating range, full of loud noises and creepy old guys. Just make sure you use fun targets, reactive objects. Clay pigeons, balloons, or things you can knock over with a pellet/bb.

There's 2 ways things can go down.

Unarmed

>be on toilet
>hear front door be kicked in
>stand and try to shuffle to my bedside gun with my pants around my ankles
>get clubbed in back of head with a leg lamp
>get robbed
>probably get killed in my unconsciousness because trayquonne thinks it'll keep him out of jail

Armed

>reading funs n ammo on the terlet
>hear door getting kicked in
>tactically kick off trousers
>grab wondernine from window ledge
>open door
>blast all 15 rounds into the fatal funnel
>last thing the former cultural enrichers see is a bottomless fat guy standing over them with a smoking gun, shit smeared butt cheeks, and Precum dropping cuz of the combat boner.

>>
>>29932575

Same, but inevitably he always wakes up to check on me. I'm his uncle, yet he doesn't check on his parents as often. It's weird. He and I tend to stick together close.

Also, I'd put a case in the nook with your weapon of choice, prolly the revolver or the AR pistol IMO. Whatever container you have, make sure it has a lock you can use.

I've had my 5 yr old son shoot a .22. He essentially just pulls the trigger, I hold the rifle and support him in my lap. It is one of things in life where you actually do have to be a helicopter parent.

>>29933546
lol my clone will come hop in bed with us. Sometimes he is full on ninja about it to the point where I dont kniw he is there till I wake up, other times he comes in and smacks my wife in the face demanding milk.
I was thinking Id use the AR pistol for firepower/rounds I can put down range....because if you fuck with me while Im shitting (and not my kid) you deserve many holes.
Do you have a recommendation on container? Ive just been keeping the funs in a closet.

Definitly keep it locked up in a case screwed to a drawer of something , maybe get a pistol that isn't a nagant?
>>
>>29933734
Oh I have a bunch of pistols. Its just that the Nagant is the one that is not assigned a role.
example:
.38spc is in my trunk for just in case

1911 is supressed and near my bed for late cultural enrichment visitors

Glock 40 is above the stove for visitors enquiring about the chastity of my wife while I am away

Also they are all flushable. The non-flushability is a myth. I once flused my sons toothbrush...it went. And if there is a problem in the long run....we rent so not a problem.
>>
>>29925160
Mine is currently stationary it but when he starts crawling I'll have to move most everything into the safe. I do keep a Bersa 40 in the medicine cabinet for now.

>>
>>29926105
Got my daughter a daisy bb rifle when she was 5. Shot a .22 when she was 7 but wasn't strong enough to shoulder it. She is 9 now and shoots my .22 from the bench. Buying her a little .22 for her 10th birthday in July, because everything I have besides handguns is just too heavy for her to shoulder comfortably. Maybe a boy or a less slender girl would have fewer issues along these lines.

But as far as deciding, it all depends on the kid and how mature they are and how serious they are capable of being.

I had a co2 powered pelletgun, one of those crosman ".357 replicas", and when she showed an interest in my guns, I made her carry that thing around for a couple hours practicing muzzle safety and trigger discipline. When she didn't flag anyone or dry fire at the cats or anything goofy, we tried her out with the pellet gun in single action in our yard shooting cans.

That also kind of showed us she really would enjoy shooting as a pastime too. Nothing warms the heart quite the same way as watching your kids face light up the first time they successfully hit a reactive target like a soda can and it goes flying.

Tl;dr every kid is different, but get a cheap bb gun when they're 5 to test the waters. Worst case you have a bb gun to plink with.
I guess airsoft might be safer but I wouldn't go with that unless in an apartment or urban area with no yard. You WANT the kid to realize this is something dangerous that can hurt people if care isn't used, and also something special that you cannot just do in the living room. Airsoft for plinking in a basement AFTER the safety fundamentals are ingrained.

Oh good idea! I didnt even think of giving him a bb gun to carry around the house to teach muzzle safety.

I was thinking I would start him off with my old RedRider and move him up from there. We live in the land of Suburbia so Im not sure how good of an idea letting him outside with any thing even resembling a gun would be. Im in Md and the "Free range" kids that were in the news were not far from here. In the mid 90's (my teens) I had the cops called on me for shooting a bb gun in the woods near my house. What was a "dont take this out of your backyard" lecture from the cops 20years ago, would now involve a SWAT team and one sided firefight in this area.
Anyhow Im also thinkng a .17hmr for his early plinking. I have a .22 for him too, but the 17's seem to come kid sized.

pic of when he isnt in his car bed.

Not going to happen. The shelves are above/behind the toilet, you cannot "accidentally" find it. Only way you'd see it is if you were lying on your back with your head next to the toilet.

I'm a very, very light sleeper, whereas my nephews' parents are heavy sleepers and 2/10 would not operate with in the middle of the night because of it. I wake up at small sounds usually.

Somehow, however, my nephew manages to sneak into the room (My door rubs against the carpet), manages to get on the bed while I'm sleeping (The bed squeaks), and yet, also manages to shove me way to side of the bed so he claims the entire middle of it, all without waking me up. Doesn't happen a lot but when I see him in my bed in the morning I start beating myself up over how I allowed myself to get flanked by a four year old.

Every now and then though, I'll stay up the entire night just in case. The house is not as secure as I would like, and it makes me pretty paranoid. I misread your post at first, thought you said if anyone messed with your kid, you'd put a lotta holes, but I guess the same goes for when you're shitting.

I don't have a recommendation for a container, unfortunately, I wish I could help you. My buddy puts his ammo up high, and hides the weapons they go to; same with me since we're both kinda broke. Nephew knows not to mess with the boomsticks, so he never touches them. Hell, he doesn't let anyone touch his wooden fake one that they bought for him at Cabelas, lol.
>>
OP, just get a fingerprint safe and place it under the sink.

You're really not in a position to stash a firearm in that bathroom without it being a legit safe. In two years he will be moving furniture around to reach ceiling height, and will be snooping as he unexpectedly learns how to defeat each child-proof mod.
>>
>>29941133
This. Fingerprint safes are easy access and not expensive. I use to cut the shit out of myself on my dad's vintage Swiss army after his dad died and passed it down. I was a dumb four year old. I'd take the serrated blade and start cutting stuff in my parents room but never enough that they'd notice. Strangely enough I grew up to be a safety freak in every way. I had to babysit my friend's kid over a weekend once and I locked everything from forks to firearms up, used the gates I used to train my dog, and anytime he was in a room I'd gate him in with some toys and tell him to go crazy while I worked on my laptop.
One really cool thing was a storm came through our area and because of my job I had access to webcams all over the Texas panhandle, so he sat on my lap and we ate whataburger and watched lightning together and to talk him down from being scared of storms we'd rate how loud the thunder was 1-10 to teach him early numbers.
If I didn't hate women I'd love to have a kid.
