DU is a heavy metal and rule of thumb is that heavy metals are toxic even if you exclude radiological issues.
Clearly it has corroded and it appears that parts are flaking off. Also these flakes (oxides, sulfides etc) are hazardous. While you probably haven't turned your garden into a chemical wasteland that will be used to scare small children 4000 years from now I sure would hesitate bringing it into my home. You might borrow a trick from geologists in using varnish to preserve the material and exclude air and moisture using generous amounts of hair spray. No, seriously.
