Appears to be an H&R in relatively good shape.
3" or 2 3/4" chamber?
Makes a good "Hillbilly walking stick".

Barrel is too long saw it.
Also keep it legal
>>

Also OP, heads up if you're going to do this:
1) Cut the barrel to no less than 18" unless you do your SBS paperwork. 18.5" to be safe.
2) Keep the stock for recoil and minimum legal OAL reasons.
3) Add a rubber buttpad.
4) You'll be cutting out the choke so the gun will pattern much wider. You can still shoot clays and birds with it, but it'll be much harder.

Been thinking about buying a bolt 12 gauge for $90 from my LGS just cuz.
>>
>>29912337
Have a bolt 20, Love it
>>
>>29912112
That's sexy as fuck
10/10 would get bandolier and bandit with
>>
Why do people still buy single shot when pump exists at a similar price?
>>
>>29912337
Do it. Bolt shotguns are fun.
I used to have an old JC Higgins 583.23
>>
>>29912510
Because there's usually a $100 dollar difference, and sometimes people want something different. Plus wherever you live I think a single shot is always okay to own
>>
>>29912510
Single-shots are great for being indestructible, lightweight backpacking guns, firing bizarre hand-loaded shells that are normally too long and they are a joy to shoot for recoil masochists.

I think it's a Rossi but that's my guess

Living in Anchorage is suffering

Chop it to 18.5 inches and keep it behind the seat in your truck.

You have a truck, right?

My shotgat. I actually made it 18.5 just to be safe. Otherwise I agree fully with this post.

Backpacking. You can reassemble it in about 10 seconds.
