What's the point? No audio streams allowed.
I've got .webms with sound already converted from .mp4 and avi going back to pre-2000. But why convert them to non audio and repackagethem to satisfy some janitor that tickled a switch for space control?
Audio is not that much space. must be some faggy liberal DCMA act thing. WTF?

The SU-152 is a self-propelled artillery piece that was also used as a TD, not the other way around.

The CH-46 was notoriously deadly in water crashes until they started giving specialized escape training for it. It immediately inverts in the water. The Dunker simulated those exact conditions in a training pool. Survival rates increased but it's still a dicey situation.

>>29922091
This was a major concern in WWI, so both powers experimented with ways to solve the problem. They put the guns on the top wing to shoot OVER the propellor, they tried putting metal plates on the propellor so that the bullets would ricochet off, and the germans designed something called the interruptor gear.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faZiS1CYZs0
It times the machine gun fire to only be triggered when the propeller won't be in the line of fire.
Another fun fact: The allies were getting BTFO in WWI aerial battles without this design, until some german pilot got lost and landed his plane ON THE WRONG AIRFIELD. Then they took apart his plane and had the interruptor gear!
>>29922070
That's from a War Thunder trailer. A pretty sweet one at that.

>>29922132
Unfortunately the game itself is terrible.
>>29922151
No it's not. It's a pretty good casual WWII game with plenty of realistic elements. It's just not a simulator like some people claim it is, and Gaijin is shitty at running it because they keep changing shit and balancing everything weird.
>>29922129
There was this one French pilot that put deflectors in his propellors before having to force land when his aircraft faced engine failure during a battle. He landed at the enemy line and refused to surrender, shooting krauts in his cockpit with his pistol before taking an 8mm to the head. It was from the deflector that the krauts based their synchronization gear from.
>>29922151
I'd have to agree with you there. It's one of those games you watch trailers and gameplay of and think "Oh, I'll have some of that". Then you go and play it and everything just sucks.
That's why I stick to WoT. It's stupid bullshit, but at least it's a fun game to play. Plus I was a stupid kid when I started and sunk loads of money into premium shit, so now I'm more or less obligated to at least play the worth of that.
>>29922091
No, they had a synchronization gear that prevented the gun from firing into the propeller.

>>29922202
I mean, it is a fun game. Between WoT, WT, and AW, it's probably the most enjoyable. AW is repetitive as fuck and takes for ever to get into a match. WT's new last man standing mechanic means that you get hit and then get to sit around for five minutes getting shot at without any way to retaliate, along with stupidly long queue times for anything other than arcade.
>>29922172
You're confusing two different people. Roland Georges Garros first put the deflectors (these metal wedges) onto his propellers. He crashed behind enemy lines and tried to destroy his plane but couldn't do it completely. There's a photo of him being captured, but he escaped and went back to flying. Got shot down again and died.
The guy you're thinking of is Georges Guynemer. It's a popular legend that he was shooting Germans with his pistol but there's not actually any proof of it, though it has been proven he died of a gunshot to the head, though we're still not sure whether it was a pistol or not.

>>29923101
>>29922167
It WAS good, but Gaijin's management of the game ended up destroying it. The amount of grinding needed went up exponentially - unless you were willing to pay, it's almost impossible to get to Tier V without sacrificing years for it.
>>29913092
Russian artillery doctrine stated that any artillery piece could be used as an anti tank gun.
I'm not sure about the SU-85, because if I recall correctly, it was based off an AA gun.
for the SU-100, SU-122, SU-152 and ISU-152, they literally stripped howitzers of the corresponding calibre of everything except the barrel, breech, and recoil mechanisms, mounted them on a vehicle chassis, welded a casemate around them and their assault gun versions were born.
