That's like the US using corsairs on the front line in 1982.

Wait. I share a birthday with the holy BRRRRT?

Indeed you do you lucky anon

There are now third-generation B-52 pilots flying the same airplanes as their fathers and grandfathers did.

Tough old bird.
EVERYBODY'S HEARD ABOUT THE BRRRRRRRT
A BABA BRRRRRRT BRRRRRT BBRRRRRRT
A BRRRRRT IS THE WORD
>>29904236
I'm aware, but we haven't used the b-52 for frontlone combat in a long time. The a-10 is fielded every day.

>we haven't used the b-52 for frontlone combat in a long time
It's providing air support in the middle east right now as a cruise missile truck.
>>29904288
I forgot about that, didn't they invent a special rotary magazine for the B-52 so it can hold several cruise missiles at once in its bomb bay or am I thinking of the B-1?
>>29904396
The same concept has been applied to both airframes, and IIRC the B-2 as well. The B-52 also has a shitload of external hard points for cruise missiles. Closer in shit like AGMs and gun runs is for A-10s and drones.

Damn that sounds cool as hell. I remember seeing a pic of it once but I forgot which bird it was a part of.

This is the second best birthday present I've ever gotten!
