LIBE is purely consultational in nature, but unless European parliament members decide to sperg, hopefully we're in the clear.

Yeah, hopefully. Then again it's europe.
It's not like czechs weren't ready to do a mass civil disobedience, anyway. Firearms are a part of our culture, our freedom that German and Russian opressive regimes did not allow us, and we are not to be disarmed again. There would be bodies on both cops and civilian sides.
>>
Congrats EuroAnons.
>>
Don't be lulled into a flase sense of security. This is not over.

The EU has an agenda, one of the things on that agenda is the, eventual, complete disarmament of civilians. They might have been stopped now, but in 5 or 10 years they will try again. They will keep trying until they win, and they will win because they will make the EU more and more dictatorial and authoritarian than it already is. They will make it larger and more powerful and they will stick their fingers in all the pies, they're going to a federal Europe.

Democracy and liberty are not in their nature.

>The proposal to ban “Category B7” modern sporting firearms (a.k.a. “military-style” guns) was rejected.
>The proposal to severely restrict or even impose licensing and registrations fordeactivated and replica firearms was rejected.
>Collectors are kept out of the scope of the directive.
>The proposal to restrict detachable magazines in capacity, to include them into the list of “essential firearm components” and impose mandatory registration EU-wide was rejected; same goes for silencers and sound suppressors.
>The socialists’ proposal to impose an an additional tax on firearms and ammunitions has been rejected.
>While essential gun parts should be marked, the proposal to impose marking of ammunition was rejected.
>Member States will still be allowed to sell ex-military surplus to civilians and to grant, although under certain conditions, licenses for “Category A” military firearms and light weapons.
>The proposal to impose EU-common mandatory medical standards and tests for the release and the renewal of gun licenses, and the proposal to impose an EU-level standard expiry date for all gun licenses, were both rejected.
>People under the age of 18 will still be allowed to own and operate firearms for hunting and sport shooting, albeit under the supervision of an adult guardian that should also be a licensed gun owner.
>While LIBE asks that the European Directive should refer to “mandatory safe storage” for privately-owned firearms, conditions and standards for said “safe storage” should be left to each individual Member State to establish on its own soil.
>EU Member States should established a common database of licensed gun owners. As “Big Brother-ish” as it may sound, this could open the way for a future gun license reciprocity in the EU.
Neat.
>>
>>29904141
Dear god that is quite the defence Eurobros.

Now, y'all need to go on the offensive and throw some loopholes in these European directives....maybe some that override some national gun control.

That'll be hilariously ironic when the pro-EU Brit block for instance accidently fucks over their own gun laws and can't put up too much of a fight after literally advocating for the European unification of authority.

You yuuros have a hell of a conundrum with that Union thing. On one hand, the more power devolved to EU institutions, the more likely you are to suffer some lol-no-guns diktat just because some other country's bureaucrat found it fashionable.

On the other hand, those bureaucrats are the only thing even slightly retarding Bongistan's plunge into Full Orwell, and every once in a while they come up with some good ideas, like maybe all y'all shouldn't ban guns.

That, and most European countries have the GDP of a farmer's market. Hard to imagine what you guys would do without some kind of bureaucracy organizing the trade and currency unions.

>>

>it will take some of the ammo away from gun control advocates here if they saw gun control laws go away and crime rates stay the same
The mass immigration from Syria is like Europe decided to invent niggers of their very own. Crime is going to skyrocket, if it hasn't already, and the kind of multikulti that gets rustled by someone saying "nigger" on a tunisian turnpike travelogue would blame it on the firearms liberalization instead of all the poverty and "illiberal values" they imported.

Pro-EU Brits are 99.9% likely to hate guns, you'd find much more pro-gun people amongst those opposed to EU membership.

Most countries in Europe have better laws than we do, but there's almost no chance of that filtering down to us through the EU. At best something like this might help us block some future domestic gun ban bullshit, but more than likely membership of the EU will only be an added danger to gun owners in the coming decades.

How is the EU dictatorial? Burger here. It always seemed like a friendly conglomerate of states to me. Admittedly I don't pay a lot of attention to how the EU works
>>
>>29908406
It's about as far away from direct democracy as you get. There's very little accountability, politicians and bureaucrats can win some small election be sent there and they can disappear into the labyrinth and work in the shadows. It's hard to see what's coming because it's not a transparent or open organization. It sucks up money into who knows where and it's very clear that it's a socialist progressive majority.

Furthermore it wants to, and already does in many cases, supersede law and procedure of an individual nation. People had more power over things, through smaller government, local government and more direct democracy to vote for and implement those things, or not. But the EU is the antithesis of all of that, it's big government of the worst, leftist sort.

And it's not like it's a representation of individual citizens relations with those of another nation. It's all bureaucrat and career positions deciding things from their level and in their world.

tl;dr the EU is a bunch of political elites trying to deceive regular people and turn Europe into a socialist federation of states, not nations, with little autonomy, noguns, and lots and lots of Muslims.
>>
>>29908406
You know how the Supreme Court overruled Illinois' anti-gun laws? Imagine if Canada got to overrule our Supreme Court, took a bunch of money, and then dumped all of San Francisco's hobos in the gym of the high school you used to go to except they filled it with hobos and now the building is condemned, and then lambasted you for not spending enough money on the Coast Guard to save all the Mexicans and Cubans that tried to swim and didn't make it.

The EU is that Canada. Or what >>29908525 said.

>>29906728
We had gun registrys even before, and even here in Czech Rep. Hell, if it is centralised, I might become a persona non grata in some cucklands, but at least bringing my guns abroad might be easier in the future.
>>29906678
They're retarded and hate guns. Also European Comission is a flawed idea that exists to nitpick and prohibits whatever it can, just to be "active".
>>29906714
Unfortunately this is true, but I feel czech republic won't be afraid to say the truth.
>>29908346
I think Czech Rep has great and efficient gun laws. We have a lower homicide rate than Canada, and by quite a bit (0.8 versus 1,4 I believe). They were even better before the Brusseles nation attacked.

When it comes to carry and self-defense laws I think the mass immigration from 3.rd world is going to take care of that once immigrants start terrorize the European middle-class instead of just the poor and powerless natives.

That's what you get when you extend laws protecting police officers to under educated renacops since you can't employ actual officers that know the law.

You can get your guns or atleast money back if you have 8000€ to pay for a lawyer and patience to wait two to six years for the court to convene. If you win (which you will once you go to court) you can buy new guns with money you get from the security company.
>>
>>29912151
The security company is not required to pay money for guns that cops decide to confiscate. If someone has to pay its the police department or government.

It was not the rentacops decision to take any guns from anyone, he most likely did not even know the guy owned guns. He simply reported suspicious behavior and cops made the decision to act on it.

>>
>>29912181
Then you get reparations from the government. Once again if you have the money to employ a lawyer. If your a poor fag who doesn't have a additional 8000-10000€ laying around you're pretty much fucked
>>
>>29912285
There was a case in Finland where a man got his guns confiscated and went to court over them.

Court decided it was wrong to confiscate his guns and ordered the police to hand them back, but they also decided that police department should not be made to pay for the mans legal expenses. He ended up losing around 2000€ to get back stuf rightfully belonging to him.

Vigor is returning. Europeans are starting to feel unsafe in their own countries and the politely smiling police states we've created are crumbling since it has become clear to everybody that they don't have the legal tools nor the resources to fight increasing criminal behavior and religio-political terror that is now facing not just the poor working class areas of Europe but the comfortable middle-class suburbs as well. When formerly gun-grabbing soccermoms are stocking up on bear maces and other pepper sprays you'll know the time of gun-grabbing is over in Europe. This is where we are now. Next up is introducing more relaxed laws on guns since those very same soccermoms that were not even a couple of years ago trying to ban all guns in the whole of Europe are soon going to want to stock up.

The only ones still wanting to ban guns are the political and economical elite especially the unelected European commission and their multinational corporate friends who have armed guards to hide behind and who feel threatened by the very thought of armed populus. Probably for a very good reason.

>>

everything you say is right, except that about socialism. The EU is about as far from socialism as you can come. They're extreme neo-liberals. Free market is EVERYTHING, and everything is supposed to make people consume more, spend more, and outsource more.

They're so free market, they're willing to turn it into a dictatorship to protect it.
