I don't think Marines are supreme, but the Army fails to properly train each person to be a completely adequate rifleman or soldier. It's not because of branch just a lack of training in the Army. The Marines made a mistake by putting so much emphasis on aviation. It has sucked the life out of their ground forces. They simply don't have the budget necessary to maintain the sort of aviation corps that they want.
