What's the point of laws prohibiting homemade bombs? Why can't people just do what they want?
>>
Because there are very few legitimate uses for pipe bombs

having said that you can demolish anything you want on your own property I think depending on the state
>>
>>29893858
So that when a bomb sniffing dog finds 30kg of explosive outside a day care center they don't just have to shrug and say "well he ain't set it off yet."
>>
>>29893858
Generally "indiscriminate" weapons are no-no.
>>
>>29893858
Well, you can't really use a bomb for self defense.

Plus, regulations on explosives are a great way for prosecutors to have something to charge terrorists with before an attack has been carried out. I mean, if you see a bunch of dune coons building bombs, do you really want to just have to leave them to do as they will?
>>
"Attempted homicide" and "conspiracy to commit x," where <x> is your favorite felony, are more than enough to go after a guy who tried to blow up a day care or some sand niggers plotting to get the TSA to make us remove yet another article of clothing at the airport.

Laws prohibiting homemade bombs are there so that lazy prosecutors don't have to prove intent. If building a pipe bomb is a crime in and of itself, you don't have to prove they were actually going to do anything with it -- you just kick down the door of anyone the Home Depot cashier thought looked edgy.
>>
Because if you fuck up while your building a bomb in your basement you kill you neighbors. You can build bombs legally you just need to go to school to get proper training and license so that you don't accidentally a whole city block

Just form 1 as a Destructive Device, pay $200 and have an explosives magazine/keep the components separate.

My guns are not for self defense. The 2nd amendment isnt for self defense. Its so that people can overthrow their tyrannical government using arms.

Without getting into a really long argument on the internet, i believe we should be allowed to own and manufacture bombs for the same purpose.

pretty sure they only become illegal once you start adding nails and shit to them.
if you want to go on your land and blow up 20 pounds of anfo and you are certain it won't hurt anyone except maybe yourself, the government doesn't give a fuck.

>>

>>
>>29898634
ok then. why do you think the founding fathers included the second amendment?
>>
>>29898661
>why do you think the founding fathers included the second amendment?
Because Militia service was encouraged as a substitute for a standing army.

Partially because many of the founding fathers felt a standing army was a tool of oppression and partially because they didn't have the money, manpower, or resources to raise an actual army

But I'm not talking about any of that. I'm talking about your rights

You have the right to defend yourself. You have the right to defend your belongings. You have the right to defend them with lethal force. You have the right to defend them from both criminals and rogue governments

The key word here being "Defend". Overthrowing the government is an offensive action, not a defensive one. You are not granted that right ANYWHERE in the constitution. In fact, very much the opposite, that would fall under the definition of treason which is the only crime defined in the constitution

You DO NOT have the right to stage a coup d'etat. There is a difference between defending yourself and your property if the government knocks down your door without a warrant or they form a police state and you and some buddies trying to topple the state because you read somewhere online that somebody said some vague quote about "Ovuh-Throwin' da Guvmint!"
>>
>>29894269
A free populace doesn't have politicians. Only ruin
>>
>>29898697
>a well regulated militia, NECESSARY FOR THE SECURITY OF A FREE STATE

this implies that if the state is no longer free, forcible actions must be taken

do you even Social Contract Theory bro?
>>
>>29898704
>Look at me! I'm a constitutional Lawyer!

I'm not even going to entertain you attempting to interpret the constitution. I'll agree to "shall not be infringed" all day long when it comes to gun laws but but validating Treason is where I draw the line

And by the way, The founding fathers had to deal with plenty of blowhard rednecks who thought they too had the right to stage a Coup. And they all suppressed the rebellions without a second thought

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fries%27s_Rebellion
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shays%27_Rebellion
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whiskey_Rebellion
Read that last one, Washington himself lead the charge
>>
>>29893858
So when the cops break down the front door of Jamal McJiahdi or Jimbo McUnobomber and find a bomb making factory with hundreds of kilos of explosives they can say "This is illegal, ergo we will arrest you" as opposed to saying "Nothing to report here, carry out your business, citizen"

you have absolutely no idea what im talking about do you.
rebelling against a government that regularly and continuously violates the rights of its citizens is not treason. its a changing of the guard
>>
>>29893858
Since when are they illegal? Only crime is if you transport them after construction, use them to commit a crime, make/use them on property where it's prohibited, or use them for business without a license.
>>
>>29898746
>rebelling against a government that regularly and continuously violates the rights of its citizens is not treason. its a changing of the guard
Then what are you waiting for? Get to it!

Come on, big man. Let's see you ovuh-throw da Guvmint
>>
If there were three people left on earth, one would be taking advantage of the other two, one would try to tell the other two how to live their lives, and the third one would look to the other two to be taken care of.
>>
>>29893858
then they wouldn't have a reason to enslave random Americans who otherwise did nothing wrong

fuck the American government, they cannot be trusted.
>>
>>29898661
the god given right to arms is recognized, partly for a militia

overthrowing a government is not a one man job. it requires organization, logistics, and a singular moment in which thousands of people simultaneously have the same idea to burn it all down.
we are not "there" yet, but i honestly believe that within 10 years we are gonna see some shit

>>
>>29898824
Suppressors are not legal without a license, as far as I'm aware. Can you provide a link to evidence for this? Even on personal property with no transport.
>>
>>29898835
its not a license, but you do fill out an extra form and you are put on a registry iirc.
also the 200 dollar tax stamp.
>>
>>29893867
You're retarded.

You need special permitting to demolish something you own - buildings - even on your own property.
>>
>>29893858
Well any good constitution allows the individual to do anything they want as long as it doesn't impact on the liberty or freedom of someone else.
However after a while some don't think this should be so & legislate until the freedom is in your own head..................barely.
Think of police spc ops how they can get what ever they want hollow point ammomo & the other shit but there are laws that prevent a soldier from using these in warfare
>>
>>29898837
Explosives do not require that.
>>
>>29898800
>we are not "there" yet, but i honestly believe that within 10 years we are gonna see some shit

Bitch please. They've been saying that for 40 years. probably even longer than that.
Is this ten years not a good time? That's okay. Maybe the next ten years will be better
>>
>>29898837
fucking tax stamps what is the purpose, just paying Mr Dog Killer's paychecks?

Fucking turning a 300 dollar purchase which is relatively ok into a 500 dollar purchase which is a fuckton of ammo or a cheap AR or some Milsurp

>Obama's precedent

>The fact that Shillary is not in jail and has a remote chance of becoming president

Those people saying it's coming? They were right. The progress of evil has been slowed, but it is most definitely coming, and the more people like you think it's not, the faster it gets.
>>
>>29893858
Mostly because a large percentage of people are fucking morons and don't deserve to do what they want.
>>
>>29898876
While I want to really disagree with you you are mostly right. I highly doubt we will "see some shit" in the next 10 years of major significance. I do think we will have an increase of little/micro resistances like the bundys. I do think there is the possibility of one that can gather a relatively large following under the right circumstances. In the end I think it probably won't be much and could very well further impose on our current liberties. The other issue is our current liberties are decaying anyway and slowly being stripped anyway.

To discourage people from getting them, whether because of the price or because of the registry.
