How prevalent is the practice of infantry riding tanks today?
Not very unless you're in some balkanshit army

In a shithole that has way more infantry than vehicles? Decently common.
For the rest of us we have vehicles meant to actually carry troops inside.

Not very. For the most part, the infantry rides in their own vehicles. There are procedures to do so, but they are specifically stated as something you should avoid.
Depends how rad you are

I feel so sad for that T-55. Everything about it just screams 'let me sleep already'
they're pretty good for protecting tanks against at weapons

>A glorious machine of war
>wanting to sleep
I do not think so anon. It wants to fight and destroy until it ends its long service in an ear-shattering explosion.

US? Not likely, tankers don't like it when you look at their tank, much less getting within touching distance.
maybe it seems weird today, but back in WW2, there weren't enough regular fucking trucks to move around most infantry, let alone any sort of armored transport. Mechanized infantry units were the exception, not the norm.
Today, it's pretty trivial to come up with basic APCs, let alone basic bitch flatbed trucks.

lmao, i read that as Swedish Rapid Reaction Forces.
Ever hear of the Ukraine?
>Tank Desant isn't that practical for our army
Said every cuck ever.
Us military it's too politically correct super safe babysitting to allow that. They barely allow troops in the back of cargo trucks anymore.
Militaries today are mostly occupational forces and it's not a good idea to ride on something like this.
