The FN M249S is out and this one on gun broker is going to go for under $8k. I know a few guys here were going to pick one up. Anyone have pics of theirs? http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=555892095
>>
>>29891297
>Anyone have pics of theirs?

literally nobody here is willing to get one let alone afford it.

You're gonna see one guy with a scar 17s or maybe even an sr25 but that's it.
>>
I know they had to play with the design a bit for closed bolt, but 8k for a basic bitch version. Thats not worth the snowflake factor. 8k is getting into registered MG territory, and there are civil belt fed guns that cost less. They can do better in that price and they know it.

With that being said I'll be patiently awaiting some gut slapping a nice optic on it to hunt prairie dogs and pigs
>>
>>29891349
speak for yourself poorfag.

I already got two
>>
>>29891349
actually plan on buying either this or a barret 50 by mid summer.

the barret would be more utilitaruan but the saw would be the better investment
>>
>>29891680
post them
>>
>>29891736
>but the saw would be the better investment
It's completely incompatible with most parts on a real SAW though. At best if you modified it to fire full giggle you'd have a really big AR.
>>
waiting on a mk48 before I even consider buying a semi automatic belt fed
>>
>>29891670
>play with the design a bit for closed bolt
What I heard was that they managed an ATF-approved hybrid of sorts, where the bolt stays open when not firing, but doesn't have a fixed firing pin.
>>
>>29891794
>share no parts

there is a bunch of compatibility, just not the firing mechanism

>cant make it auto

thats not really the point

I doubt FN is going to manufacture these for a long time, maybe a few years if that.

the demand will only grow, semi or not.
>>
>>29891349
Literally what? There are anons here with 12k worth of bizarre Italian revolvers that serve no purpose. There are definitely people on /k/ with belt feds including unneutered ones.
>>
>>29891775
Lol @how he never posted

Fucking lying sacks of shit
>>
>>29891903
there are a few guys with full autos, josh (hallway guy) has a .50 and a 20mm cannon, there are a bunch of guys with 5+ ARs gucci'd out, I think Boof owns a gunshop or has an FFL, I collect grenades and grenade accessories, so yeah, there are a bunch of guys that can and would buy these things, really the only debate is "should we?".
>>
>>29891349
Mine should be here next week, check is in the mail. FFL information already exchanged.
>>
>>29892118
make a thread when you get it, i would really like to see the insides of one, even if just pictures, before i lay down the cash.
>>
>>29892161
I was planning on it, I bought a M122 tripod and had it refinished. So mine will be the one on a tripod, not that there is going to be many people posting M249S pics.
>>
>>29891965
Someone post the pic where BOOF asked for .380 glocks and instead got 380 glocks
>>
For 8k you can get a PKM with a second barrel, and a round linker box, and few other goodies.
>>
>>29893026
Who wants anything that isn't chambered in a NATO round?
>>
>>29893054
Because the pkm is a much sexier lmg
>>
>>29893085
Implying that wood is sexier than polymer?
>>
>>29891965
What do you niggers do for money and such? I can't imagine paying more than a couple grand for a raifu. Even then I'm sure the initial purchase is only a part of owning something like that. Ammo and parts aren't exactly cheap
>>
I manage a battery warehouse (SLI batteries).
>>
>>29891297
Wow, 8k for a semi auto rifle that's twice the weight of an AR and does absolutely nothing special!

I'd rather save up and extra 2k and buy something cool like a .50 cal rifle.
>>
>>29893115
I spent 4 grand on 249 parts before I sent the check for the rifle.
>>
>>29893110
Wood is always > Polyshit
Fact
>>
>>29893143
Already got the 50. But I did notice you can pick up a semi barret for under $7k now.
>>
>>29893156
The military has figured out that your totally wrong.
>>
>>29893143
I could spend twice the money and get a transferable M16 with a million rounds through it.
>>
>>29893186

>>
>>29893054
when it comes to full-retard, why would you want anything else???

Surplus slavshit tends to be a fuckboat cheaper than NATO calibers....

also,

>>

>Full-retard

Seriously, where are you guys thinking any of this stuff is full auto?
>>
>>29893143
>I'd rather save up and extra 2k and buy something cool like a .50 cal rifle.
M82A1 with Leopond glass, just like they issue EOD, was $7.3k shipped like 2 months back.

They have the price so high and production so low because they know there are at least 1000 richboy retards out there with a boner for FN and mil-issue shit who will justify it solely on 'collectability'
>>
>>29893276
Really I think you are just full-retarded.

Go read what was said, uno mas.
>>
>>29893301
Your comment chain starts at: >>29893026

>For 8k you can get a PKM with a second barrel, and a round linker box, and few other goodies.

You guys are talking under the premise that you can get a PKM in "full retard" for 8k.
>>
>>29893269
That's what the LMT 308 is for.
>>
>>29893321
wrong nigger. I came into this thread here>>29893269

You asked a question, I gave you a correct answer.
>>
>>29893366
Then it's not my fault that *you* didn't follow the comment chain. You guys are talking about full auto PKMs as if it is relevant to a semi auto 249 clone thread.

Also, you're clearly talking about ownship and pricing because you mentioned ammo prices.
>>
>>29893366
Your totally replying to two anons

It's neat but it's not 8k neat.

what did happen to him? Did all the glocknades go off at the same time, destroying the entire city block?
>>
>>29893202
Maybe 5 years ago lol. You're looking at $20k minimum for sears alone now
>>
>>29891297
Our cost from Lipseys at work is IIRC somewhere around 8 grand, putting our retail around 10k

Might not be bad deal for what it is... "Deal" being entirely relative and subjective in this situation
>>
>>29894250
Dealer price should be closer to $6,500, I saw it posted somewhere.
>>
>>29891297

i thought only the 200 limited edition version was 8k and regulars were 5-6k.
>>
>>29893115
IT admin. I make decent money and hoping to jump to db admin soon. I exercise my credit card mostly responsibly to buy my big ticket guns and maintain good credit.

Also I personally don't get why someone would buy one of these, at 8k you are in full retard territory, not a saw but plety of options. As an investment, maybe I can see it appreciating but who knows how much maybe modestly maybe 10 times or more like some more import ban rifles.
>>
Well, I tried to get someone to out bid me, but no luck, looks like I'll own two of them by the end of the week.

Still waiting for that poorfag with only a couple of hundred dollars of lifesavings to pay up.
>>
>>29891297
why the fuck is it 8 grand?
no goddamn way it costs 8 grand to produce.
should be closer to 4k, but that fucking FN rollmark ruins everything
>>
>>29896562

FN isn't allowed to use their military production line to produce their civilian AR15s.

It might be the same with the 249. Not sure. But having to make a whole new production line and toolset to satisfy the legal requirements would explain it better than just fleecing the early adopters.
