What kind of pistol/ handgun do you prefer /k/? I really dig my hi power.
>>
>>29873829
Stop storing them in foam unless you want a case full of rusty trash
>>
>>29873916
My foam is better than yours
My foam is better than yours
Damn right, it's better than yours
It brings all the guns to the case
>>
magnum revolvers and all steel single action pistols
>>
Of all of my pistols, my Hi Power is my favorite. My P30L is a close second, but my Hi Power wins out.

For collecting purposes I really love Makarovs. One day a Russian military model will be mine, but until then I'm happy with my current Russian commercial, Bulgarian, East German, and cheap pawn shop find Chinese.
>>
My overall favorites are my SIG P220, Browning Hi Power and various 1911s

As far as what specific type of pistols I am drawn to, I would have to say simple blowback .32s and .380s from the early 20th century, ad military handguns of WWII. Someday I would like to have a complete collection of all the various service pistols of each major WWII power in display cases based on country and date of adoption (I've never told anyone that that is one of my life goals because I feel like no one would understand that level of autism)
>>
I prefer double action only autoloaders. Of DAO triggers I like the HK LEM the best. Of the HK LEM variants I prefer v4 medium. Of v4 LEM guns I like the HK45C the best
>>
>>29873916
Where do you get this from?
High end tools are stored in foam drawers.
The most expensive gun cases you can buy are foam filled.
Where do you get that?

Also anyone wanting to buy replacement foam, woodcrafters is the place.

>>29873829
I like small light guns mostly with powerful ammo or high capacity. I mostly carry compact 9mm though because light and cheap to shoot.
>>
>>29873977
>my Hi Power is my favorite
What was the break-in period like?
>>
Sig p220 is my favorite pistol, aesthetically. I really like metal frame single stack guns. P220 and P239 masterrace.
>>
>>29874259
I bought it as surplus and did a bunch of work to it, and honestly I'm not sure. After replacing a bunch of parts it felt considerably better than it did previously with its surplus parts and continues to feel better the more I shoot it. It's hard to determine when the break in period was hit because even with new everything it felt better than it did with used surplus parts.

This. I'll take a plain old Glock, prefer a 26 or 19. Don't care not picky

Wheelgats. The only semi I have really enjoyed shooting is my mak. Sold off my 1911 and p226.

Despite /k/'s thoughts on the .40, it's a fine defensive round that's not going anywhere. I rotate between my 19, 43 and 27 for CCW.

Hogh end tools are stored in a closed cell foam. Not an open cell foam like in pelican cases.

If your going to store in foam. Get kaizen foam or some other closed cell .

Out of all of them, the Jericho's my favorite.
I'm not saying I can't possibly eventually like something else more though.

I guess metal handguns. The only polymer handgun I have is a pps m2 for summer carry, and that's only because I live in the south and the summer heat/humidity is unbearable. When fall rolls around I switch to either a hi-power, 1911 or cz-75 for edc.

I take with a grain of salt.

I know despite having already two Glock 9mm, one in close size, I really want a 43 or 30 to add to the collection

I was expecting $1000-$2000 not $4000-$6000 for one. Beautiful gun though.

Should be able to find some in the $2000 bracket, if you were patient. $6k is ridiculous.

It is a beautiful gun, though - more so with Nill grips which i'll chuck on one of these days. Beautiful to shoot, too.

where are you looking?
I got mine for 2300 with five mags and a holster
granted it's in great condition for that price but there's no need to break the bank.

also this year they'll be making a version in the US. supposed to be around $1200 I think.

I like all my CZ handguns, but the 75 is still my top pick
>>
>>29874915
I checked Gunbroker.
Is that confirmed? If so, I'll hold out for it. I miss that classic Euro full-size handgun look. Nobody makes anything that piques my taste like those did.
The SIG X-six series are beautiful, but $3000 plus.
>>
>>29875019
The US-made P210 is going to be changed a bit - thumb mag release, which is good, but P22X style square locking block with slide changes to allow for it. Certainly won't be as collectible, might not be as nice to shoot, might be a bit ugly if you like the classic lines.
>>
>>29874946
Have you ever fired a hi power? I've show a few 75's, but never a hi power so idk how to compare it. They seem similar in ways. And that threads been made here a thousand times so I don't wanna make it again
>>
>>29874243
you literally like the worst triggers ever
>>
>>29874946
What's the pistol on the far right?
>>
Reminder that there is literally no honest reason to own a handgun.
>muh handguns are cool
Bullshit. You just wanted a new way to upset people when they stopped being offended by your Slayer shirts.
>muh safety
They are much more likely to be used against you or a loved one. You guys honestly give sportsmen a bad name.
>>
>>29875061
Yup, A nice blued hi power from the 70's IIRC, best trigger I've handled so far but it shot like any full size 9mm handgun if not a bit softer than my 75, but i think it was more the ammo than anything, felt good in the hand too

It's beautiful. I don't normally like the aesthetic of most CZ firearms, but that one is gorgeous.

They're surprisingly cheap.

not any more than the German made Legend model did a few years ago.

Is that a German-made Stainless Elite? I'm noticing the lack of rails, adjustable sights, and the machining looks different where the trigger guard meets the grip. Beautiful gun. Are there any other notable differences between this gun and an Exeter Stainless Elite?
>>
>>29875415
It's an X5 Allround - 5in barrel and slide, but still DA/SA. I'm a big fan of it.
>>
>>29875439
Thank you, I wasn't aware of that model.
>>
>>29875313
The Legend wasn't very common either. I don't think people considered it a US P210 as a special edition. Those run around the same price from what I've seen.
>>
>>29875578
No problem.
>>
>>29875019
The Sig X series is the bee's fucking knees, mang.

Haven't heard when American production is supposed to start, and they don't export any more.
