Can someone explain why in movies where torture is present that the bad guys always fuck up the face and everywhere else by the genitals (outside a few exceptions)?
In real life torture situations, I feel like I'd immediately go for the genitals to get someone to talk. Is there any real life examples of the same or in real life do the toturing parties tend to do what the movies do?

The Hollywood/Inquisition cut off body parts until they talk is generally ineffective for usable Intel. It's great to elicit a false confession or to indulge the torturers own sadism. If the person is weak minded/poorly motivated to conceal information then usually the threat is enough (if they call the bluff, sure they may need to followed through on). If your target is strong willed or has ample motivation to conceal information then you need to break their mind and while taking time it will give you valid (if not time valuable) information no matter the subject. See the methods used in Gitmo for examples.

Physical interrogation yields information provided under duress. Everyone has their breaking point and when they get there, they will tell you anything just so you stop. There are other ways to inflict excruciating pain.
The feet for example are often overlooked by amateurs.
You know how much it hurts to stub your toe or even break a toe?

I'm allergic to that local anesthetic shit the dentists use, and dentists here in Sweden aren't allowed to use nitrous.
I've undergone root canals and pulls a few wisdom teeth without any anesthetics.
Thank god my nerves are beyond fucked (I have extensive full body nerve damage from experimental medical shit) or I would not have been able to take the pain. They still needed straps and two assistants to hold me still enough for the dentist to do his work.

I was diagnosed with some weird mental disorder back when I was like 12 because I was a troubled child that hated school.
So the docs put om on about a dozen different medications to try and fix it.
They finally found one that worked okay, that is I didn't too worse when I took it.
So I took increasingly high doses of that shit for about 5 years, then the drug was discontinued over some type of safety concerns, except they just told me and my family that it was patent related.
So we had to buy some knock-off of the drug made in like Belarus or Latvia or something.
So I took that shit for another 4 years until that medical company also stopped manufacturing the drug.
Right around that time my old doctor retired and I was assigned a new doc.
This new doc was shocked I had been given this dangerous drug that was banned in several countries, and was absolutely not to be taken for any period of time longer than a year.
I had taken it for 8 and it resulted in pretty extensive nerve damage.
Because of this I don't feel pain like other people do, but I also have periods of weird tremors and occasional seizure-like events that only last for a second and make my whole body jerk hard for a second. But I feel those jerks coming on a few seconds before they happen so I have time to prepare, and they only happen a few times a month so it's not a huge deal.
The biggest problem I have related to this is poor large scale motor control and poor hand-eye coordination.
Although that might also have something to do with a brain injury I sustained as a child when my "friend" pushed me out of the tree we were climbing so I fell and slammed my head against a stone wall.
On the bright side I did manage to get the old mental issue diagnosis stricken from my record after the old doctor was convicted of malpractice in a similar case.
