just note there are a few issues with these. One, ur paying 600, which in the price of nice PGO Mossberg, + a 14in barrel kit (which includes, a mag tube, barrel, action slide and forarm) with this gun you only get the shotgun. No extra parts. Also, they aren't buying the 14in barrel kits from mossberg, they are buying $30 part from Shockwave and cutting the barrel and magtube end off and pinning this which means to pull your barrel off.

honestly, I have no idea, the raptor grip came in today, the barrel kit tomorrow and the actual mossberg JIC mariner comes in Friday. I'm hoping all I have to do is change the barrel, but if not it means I have to change the magtube. Which from what I saw on YouTube is just matter of unscrewing it and putting on the one from the kit, and the barrel. I'm about 60% sure its a 590 barrel and magtube. So this would sorta convert ur 500 to a 590, if you replace the trigger guard with an aluminum one then it would be a full 590 conversion

shotguns also have to have stocks. if it never came with a stock its not a shotgun, its just a fire arm. and those have to be over 26 inches OAL not to be considered AOW

Alright so according to NFA, all shotguns are defined as having a stock, and being over 26in OAL, guess what, those guns Mossberg and others sell, that comes with a pistol grip on them? Aren't really shotguns, thats why you need to be 21 or older to buy one. They are classified as "Firearms" and as long as they stay 26in OAL the barrel can be as short as you want it to be. The Raptor grip (birdshead grip to fuds) + 14in barrel makes its 26.5 in long. Now this only works if you get PGO "shotgun" (PGO = pistol grip only) the mossberg crusaders and JIC models are good examples. The reason mossberg doesn't sell them like this is become a lot of people will likely wanna put a stock on their JIC or Crusaders, effectively making an SBS so they keep the barrels at 18.5

keep in mind a SBS is a 200$ transfer and a AOW is 5$. id get the SBS if you can swing it but it will be nearly 200$ more.
