I've always wanted a pump shotgun from Ruger that combined the more desirable attributes of the Mossberg and Remington, but I'll take this too.
Hmm, the patents sound like they could be interesting but that's really a matter of the terminology being used. Ill be looking forward to what is no doubt the Ruger American shotgun. Even if I was hoping it would be a little more SR. If this works out they'll have nearly all there bases covered.

I just hope the mag tube has a catch to retain the shells if you load the thing up separate from the gun and that the mag tube isn't finicky as fuck.
As long as veprs are under $750 there is really no reason to buy any other shotgun unless it's for skeet/trap

If they do this I hope they offer it in a good number of lengths, like Mossberg for example. I hate how most companies only offer 18" or long ass hunting barrels on their shotguns.

I like Benelli shotguns but the import laws making them 3 round mag tubes + extentions put me off.
I hope the switchable mag tube Idea is that you have a restricted tube for federal water fowl and then have a home defense tube that's at least 7+

Most companies don't offer 20" barrels as a factory option. And I'm not sure I'd want to take a hacksaw to a chrome lined barrel.

Where are you finding corrosive ammo? It takes a shitload of shells to wear out a shotgun barrel and when they do wear out they're cheap as shit. Aside from assuaging autism nobody gives a shit about 20 over an 18 because shotguns aren't ARs and aren't velocity dependant nor does barrel length determine capacity.
