Good morning /k/,
I was just offered an internship at SIG Sauer for Testing and Evaluation of new models. I'm an engineering major and I'm looking to get into defense engineering after I graduate.
My problem is: I have little experience shooting. I'm going to start practicing asap but I was wondering if you guys had any advice

Get an experienced (preferably good and trained) shooter to train you. See if someone offers it in your area. It's well worth it, considering it'll save you from rookie mistakes and getting stuck with them.

If you're serious, buy a 1911, a Glock 19, and three different Sig handguns, put 500 rounds through each.
Then start studying them. I don't think they will respect someone who isn't familiar with the firearms.

also do this so you don't hurt yourself or anyone else

Thanks for everything guys. I come from a family that shoots often, but I've been away at college and I work too much during the summer to get into a range.
