Well, being a legitimate gun-for-hire style merc is illegal, and being a legitimate PMC is not even remotely cool or interesting, you just get outsourced to worst jobs whatever military hires you doesn't care enough about to do themselves, like defending pipe-layers or guarding some shitheap compound from no one.
Got a buddy who runs a relatively "underground" company across the globe. The problem is, it doesn't go "public" for another 3-5 years, so no investing as of yet. However, with luck (and ordering a "Vevan with hint of lime, but hold the rocks and certainly no twist" at certain pubs, cafes, and diners in Germany, France, England, Austrailia, Egypt, and US) you should be able to find it.
Takes all kinds of nationalities, with all sorts of backgrounds, so you don't have to worry about LE/ military experience, but you will be scrutinized pretty hard (Egypt and the US are the worst in this regard). If you're liked, all training will be provided. Salaries start at around 40,000 USD and can reach up to 85,000 USD as of right now. The salaries are expected to go up once public trading begins, but more often than not, if you won't care about the money by the time you're taken on.
