Not how it works
My advice would be get a pistol designed to be a .22 pistol such as the Ruger MKII/III or 22/45, Beretta Neos, Browning Buckmark, etc...
Reason being, that these purpose built handguns use an action designed around the .22, and will fire just about any kind of ammo. The tacticool looking .22 pistols are dumb as shit because they usually are very picky about ammo, needing to shoot stingers to work properly, and are built of shit tier metals (pot metals).

I have one anon. It takes a certain high velocity ammo unless you switch out the recoil spring. Fairly accurate, and fun to plink with, but the ammo thing can be a con. If you can find one sub 325, you're golden.
