I don't know if it's significantly better than either, probably not, but it's a great rifle in it's own right.
Shame they can't be imported anymore, they're nice.

I know that the South Koreans updated it when they started doing humanitarian stuff in the Mid East.
Rails on top, the grip and a buffer tube AR stock. It looks a little goofy, but hey, it works.
Heard it was bit on the heavy side for a carbine that shoots 5.56 though.

The FNC is solid enough, if a little heavy.
The ACR/Masada would probably have been ok if the industry had given it any attention, it'd probably be like the G36 (plastic AR-18) but better.

Thoughts on Howa rifles? Every one that I've felt had a fucking smooth action, great fit and finish, but I don't know how accurate they are. I was thinking of getting one as a 'babby's first precision rifle' now that I have an AR-15.
