Donald Trump imagines a world where regular citizens can buy automatic weapons; where gun owners can hide their weapons in any state; where there are no expanded background checks for gun purchases; and where citizens fight crime with their own assault rifles.

If Trump gets his way, which gun would you hope to get first?
MP5 unmolested here

>Donald Trump imagines a world where regular citizens can buy automatic weapons; where gun owners can hide their weapons in any state; where there are no expanded background checks for gun purchases; and where citizens fight crime with their own assault rifles.

So he's going to do things that will actually get him elected?

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/second-amendment-rights

>GUN AND MAGAZINE BANS. Gun and magazine bans are a total failure. That’s been proven every time it’s been tried. Opponents of gun rights try to come up with scary sounding phrases like “assault weapons”, “military-style weapons” and “high capacity magazines” to confuse people. What they’re really talking about are popular semi-automatic rifles and standard magazines that are owned by tens of millions of Americans.

>Law-abiding people should be allowed to own the firearm of their choice. The government has no business dictating what types of firearms good, honest people are allowed to own.

What is important to take out of his policy statement isn't what he is going to do, but the level of knowledge that he has about the topic. Telling us the correct and practical reasons -why- the 2nd Amendment should be upheld is much more indicative of what he will being doing in office.

He will have to do it because no other candidate in history has been nominated under such pressure for change. Droves of people are coming out and voting for their first time because of the things that he is promising.

That wall will be built or he's going to get dragged out of the White House by force, as with every other sweeping change he is asking for. Even if he has to soften those positions in order for the deal to be workable, the general idea has to make it through. He really doesn't have a choice.

Not that he is planning to renege on the wall; supposedly there are already plans made by his staff to build a rail line on top of or beside it so that it serves double duty as a coast-to-coast mass transport route. He's a real estate guy, so I trust that he knows how to make things pay for themselves.

They've all drunk the Trump kool-aid. /pol/ is going at it daily with propaganda and they can't see that it is THEM who are being stumped.

Seriously, if you want a true pro-2nd Amendment candidate, you have to go for a true constitutionalist candidate. And like him or not, the only constitutionalist candidate left in the primary is Ted Cruz.

We don't need another massive ego in the White House who'll protect the 2nd Amendment with the power of his swinging dick. Because what happens when he leaves office? The next massive ego may not feel the same way about firearms and go after the 2nd Amendment with his swinging dick. (ala Obama)

Ted Cruz will defend the 2nd Amendment not by the power of his ego or his willpower in coercing government officials. He'll do it by simply reading the Constitution and enforcing it with the powers given to the Executive Branch. It will be a great move in this country towards rebuilding a culture that actually cares for and respects the Constitution.

Ted Cruz is a lying rat bastard. EVERY time I hear him speak, he tells an outright, bald-face lie. EVERY TIME. He cannot be trusted with the presidency.

On top of that, he's a fucking Canacuck, he's not even eligible to be president.

This is the unfortunate truth. Democracy is a sham. In no other industry do people put up with so much constant bait-and-switch.

The only candidate to even come close to trusting is the one that is for the unregulated private ownership of CBRN weapons. Someone with the balls to say that is likely a hardline ideologue, and ideologues are typically consistent, if nothing else. You won't find that kind of candidate anywhere, though.

Government is in fact absolutely essential to the longevity & health of the Nation

Universal suffrage democracy will inevitably create a kleptocracy run by incompetents & subversives.

Doesn't help that the dominant modern narrative is essentially treasonous in nature.

People believe this every single election. People believe that if only the right person gets elected it will all get better. We've been through this every four years for five decades now.

Trump's espoused policy's, when he does get down to specifics, are the exact opposite of his views ten years ago. He may be a republican candidate but he's been a democrat for most of his life.

The president is under no obligation to fulfill his campaign promises, and even if he was a flawlessly honest president who spent every hour working to unwind terrible laws he's just one person. What ails the United States is not a dozen successive incompetent presidents, it is a system of errors that is much larger and dispersed than any single office.

If you're going to put your hopes in Trump, at least ask yourself: If Trump fails to live up to the hype, at what point am I willing to say that enough is enough? How many presidents after Trump will I have to go through before I stop having faith presidential elections can solve our problems?

Trump has regularly said that he has a broad range of political positions. "I identify with some things as a Democrat," he told MSNBC in July. He had told CNN the same thing back in 2004. He’s also expressed interest in running as a third-party candidate.

According to the New York City Board of Elections, Trump has changed his party affiliation five times since registering as a Republican in Manhattan in 1987. A form that year notes he had previously been registered in the Jamaica Estates neighborhood of Queens, where he grew up, but his prior affiliation was not identified.

"I was from an area that was all Democrat," Trump said. "And, frankly, over the years, I have — and especially as I have gotten more and more involved — I have evolved."

I was a Sanders fan, but since he's pretty much guaranteed to lose at this point, Trump is the best for me personally. Hillary would be absolutely fucking horrible, and I like the things Trump is promising a lot more than her. Even the negative aspects of his presidency wont really effect me, and I believed a wall should be built well before he came along.
I don't appreciate that he wants to violate the constitution to block the mudslimes, but it doesn't really effect me.
If he's promising guns, a wall, and action against China, I'm all for it.

The biggest magazines I know of have a capacity of 275 though.

Pic related, mine. Sadly I only have one 180-round magazine with two spring boxes for it. It's open bolt though, so converting it to FA would be easy.

Less than 10 years ago he was a Democrat.

He was also pro salt-weapon ban and pro waiting periods.

He only changed his tune when he decided there was an opportunity in the GOP because of internal strife.
