I need a 6 foot missile to kill a rebel fighter with a SVD w/ shitty scope thats probably been passed down from dead sniper to dead sniper.
Oh I am laffin.
>>29778492
Why not?
If you have the resources to waste a missile like that then do it.
Better then risking more lives.
>>29778520
1 sniper
100,000 dollar missle
>>29778531
And?
You have the assets, you use the assets.
Cant use the million dollar missle if you are dead.
>>29778511
>killing medical personnel
Even a million dollar cruise missile can be justifiably used to kill a sniper.
Soldiers, officers, and trained specialists are more expensive than a missile.
Technically the calculated value of a single human life is more expensive than 6 million.
If you're trying to quantify money and resources to the value of human life it's still acceptable to use a missile.
>>29778546
they don't even know what he looked like
how can you kill a legend
>>29778575
Like that apparently.
>>29778531
do you know how many of you boys he will kill if you let him slip? 3? 10? 30?
The lifes of your guys should worth more then any missile or at least more of one of many missiles you happen to have and can justify to use.
>>29778492
guaranteed kill using an expensive ass missile with no troops endangered > possible cheap kill with guys in the shit
not hard to understand
>>29778531
To be honest, if you are assaulting a place then time is worth a lot more than a missile.
And if a sniper is in the way, nobody will care if you use a missile if that helps you achieve an objective that might be more valuable than the missile.
>>29778492
You made this thread yesterday.
Sounds like battlefield, oh I can't shoot that guy for shit, *fires rpg* yeah I got him, I'm so good
In all seriousness though this is real life and that was justified, its just a bitch move in vidya
>>29778492
>passed down from dead sniper to dead sniper
>missile
Problem solved.
I killed a talib in Afghanistan with an $80,000 missile. When I walked back in the TOC my TF commander said "I HOPE OT WAS WORTH IT"
>>29778492
>Need
>>29778803
well, was it?
>>29778858
Well the friendlies ex filled without casualties so yea
You are forgetting the ONE rule about overkill
Overkill is best kill
When in doubt, always overkill
If the option is available, carpet bomb.
>>29778919
This. Overwhelm the enemy position until it feels its cause is hopeless. That is the purpose of war and the sooner the enemy realizes this, the sooner he stops fighting, lays down his weapons, and accepts your conditions. Less bloodshed, less misery, and the NEXT GUY knows that you're not afraid to send an $80,000 missile to get one of his guys.

>That is the purpose of war and the sooner the enemy realizes this, the sooner he stops fighting, lays down his weapons, and accepts your conditions.
That may have worked in the past for political / sovereign nation wars, but no way that strategy works in ideological / asymmetrical conflicts
>>29778575
Legends never die, but the skilled marksmen did.
So that they will be hesitant to respawn as snipers.
>>29778492
please tell me you are nolt form the US...
U guys r calling airstrikes for every bullshit
seriously, why not? i dont give a fuck HOW they kill thouse damn terrorists, at least they DO
>>29779165
Bring back carpet bombing then.
>>29778531
>coming from such a third-world shithole that $100,000 is a lot
