Depends what you want to do with it. Also once you get over spending about $700 on a 9mm handgun, you run into diminishing returns really fast. That number is much higher for an AR because of all the optics etc. I don't even know what I'd buy if you told me to spend a thousand bucks or more on a 9mm handgat

I could also keep saving until I can afford a Colt Gold Cup. I've always wanted a 1911. If I were to go with a 9mm handgun, I don't think I'd spend all $1000. The only $1000 9mm handguns are fancy Sigs and HKs, as well as competition models.

Honestly the candidate that I'd expect to be most likely to ban guns would actually be Cruz, despite his claims. Once you start going down his Dominionist rabbit hole a lot of crazy shit starts getting pretty believable, and taking guns away would fit nicely with their whole philosophy of concentrating all wealth and power in the hands of a few chosen elites.

I just bought an Adams 16" MOE carbine upper for 500 bucks and I mated it to a colt M4 lower I bought for 400. It runs great. I put my 2 moa Aimpoint T1 on it. After 75 rounds the BCG was still spotless. recommended
