Hi /k/, I have a question about this used vest I bought.
There's this strap-buckle thing here that doesn't seem to fit to anything else.
1/3
2/3
But, there are these wrapped-up straps on the shoulders that, similarly, don't seem to go anywhere
3/3
So I put 2 and potato together and decided that they must go together, but this seems wrong.
(pic horizontally flipped for consistency)
What is that strap-buckle thing for?

Can the strap-buckle hang down as well? If it does, it's for attaching a thigh-pouch.

I used those straps in the M05 vest for the camelbak's strawthingy and the radio's phone part inna FDF.

Nope. It's stuck where it is.
>I used those straps in the M05 vest for the camelbak's strawthingy
Yeah, that's what I'd planned on using those for, general routing and whatnot

But the Arch Wizard's hat makes up for it.

Holy shit, I've just realized how much my chin looks like a ballsack

Your setup is just a chest rig right? That is probably meant for attachment to a plate carrier.
Look up BAE Systems TAP or "Tactical Assault Panel" there are some small, seemingly useless points like that, that are in fact useless if you isn't know you could attach it to a PC, or don't have the small straps to do it (you can always get new ones)

No, it's a full plate carrier I think. I can certainly fit plates into it.

If you did not use the back panel and instead used it as a chestrig thats where the backstraps would connect to.

OHHH FUCKING WHAT.
That's kinda brilliant. Thank you!
I am become chest rig, destroyer of worlds.
I feel fucking enlightened. Best $25 I've ever spent.
